Study On Present State Of New Chinese Poetry And Modern Chinese

New Chinese poetry emerges with the transformation of Chinese politics, economy and culture from feudalism to semi-colonialism and semi-feudalism at the beginning of the 20th century. For almost a century, in the prosperity of new poem creating, a great number of new poems have exerted an unforgettable impression on readers with novel ideas and simple language.However, it seems that new poem creating has fallen into a dilemma, and encountered some crisis since the 1990s, with an increasing tendency of using prose language in poem creating, lacking harmonious rhythm and profound implication. It is not proper to be blindly optimistic, make a fuss or be over-worried about it.
