While investigating the modern literature of Tibet, we cannot ignore the "literature field" that has given rise to the modern literature of Tibet. In the 'literature field', mass media and patterns of mass communication has gradually become an important target for many researchers. Therefore, it is necessary to investigate the "literature field" of the modern literature of Tibet when we study the modern literature of Tibet.Media, patterns of communication and linguistic carrier of modern literature of Tibet have remarkably been different from the classical literature of Tibet. Consequently, we have to put modern literature of Tibet into a broader paradigm of establishment of modern mass media of the area, in order to provide more objective account of the genesis and development of modern literature of Tibet. As we know, there are two languages, the Tibetan and the Chinese, in modern literature of Tibet. The considerable development of modern Chinese literature of Tibet from 1950s to 1970s laid a strong foundation for the literature in 1980s.
