Abstract: The thesis makes all the efforts to understand the philosophy of Yeshi by studying the entire process of academic movement in Sung dynasty, as well as to follow the scholarly logic," learning from the classics", of Yongjia shcool, to explain Yeshi's important ideas by collecting his understanding about such classics as Zhou Yi, Shang Shu, Classic of Poetry, San Li (including Da Xun and Zhong Yong), Spring and Autumn, Zuo Zhuan, Lun Yu, The Book of Mencius , especially, the idea of Qian from Zhou Yi, the idea of Huangji from Shang Shu, the idea of education from The Classic of Poetry, the idea of etiquette from Zhou Li, the criticism of Neo-Confucianism from Da Xue and Zhong Yong, the philosophic opinion of principle in thing from Spring and Autumn, Zuo Zhuan, the understanding of Confucius' integrity and thought about learning from Lun Yu, the criticism of theory of the nature and the idea of mercy policy from The Book of Mencius. Yeshi understood and explained these classics for the purpose of arguing the problem of what is Tao with Neo-Confucianism philosophically, the thesis thinks that Yeshi's understanding about Confucianism can be explained from two levels, i. e. external level of principle in thing, and internal level of Possession of virtue by learning. Thing means the laws, regulations, etc. in the human world. Human world has the extrasensory perception at the base of Qian , which is active, masculine and perfect. Yeshi, with the theory of natural humanity, thought that Possession of Virtue, i. e. Possession of virtue by learning through the real life experiences, is the access to aquire the great morality. With the idea of Kingliaess with out and Sageliaess with in, Yeshi criticised the way of learning hold by Zisi, Mencius and Neo-Confucianism, which understand the spirit of Confucius internally, and demand for reaching internal virtue out of work result from the usage of ideas and question of Buddhism to understand the classics of Confucianism, influenced by Buddhist Philosophy. Yeshi did every thing to improve the Tao of Confucianism externally for the purpose of explaining it as a spirit of kingliaess, and it's reflection of possession of virtue in the real life demands that human being should know the humane spirit of human world from practice to possess the virtue of Confucius.
