Centering on the family rituals in T'ang Dynasty, the dissertation makes an inquiry into the definition about the family rituals in T'ang Dynasty, portraying the family rituals in the Kin of Liu-GongZhuo in T'ang Dynasty, depicting its relation with the family education in the lineages of the Literati, and describing its content and forms of representation. The essay bears the purpose to a systematic discussion about the families relation in the T'ang Dynasty, as well as the function of the rituals system in T'ang Dynasty, which plays an important role in the social life and the spread of the tradition culture. To some extent, it will reflect the historic turn in T'ang and Song Dynasty.There are five parts in the essay:In the first part, it detailedly explores the "family laws", "family rituals", "family admonition" in the literature in the Wei and Jin, the Southern and Northern Periods, Sui and T'ang Dynasties. By means of the concept "ritual" in sociology, "the family rituals in T'ang Dynasty" can be defined as a series convenience criterions and ethical ideas inside the lineages of the Literati in T'ang Dynasty, which can be used to harmonize the relation between the family members, and nail down the statue of its members in the structure of the family, and its rights and duties inside the sept.In the second part, by means of the individual analysis about the kin of Liu-GongZhuo in T'ang Dynasty, especially centering the book "Liu-Shi-Xun-Xu", it specifically outline the family rituals in the Kin of Liu, and its unique culture tradition in the class of the lineages of the Literati.In the third part, it argues the relationship between the family rituals and the family education in the lineages of the Literati in T'ang Dynasty, makes it clear that the family rituals' realistic role in the life of the lineages of the Literati. The interaction between the family rituals and the family education in the lineages of the Literati is the elementary condition for the sustainable development in the lineages of the Literati.In the fourth part, it mainly describes the content and the forms of representation about the family rituals in T'ang Dynasty. There are two parts in the family rituals, one is the convenience criterions inside the family, the other is the ethical ideas.In the last part, some problems are put forward during the research in the family rituals in T'ang Dynasty. The T'ang Dynasty is an important period for the ritual culture turn from the lineages of the Literati society to the common people society. The other is that, though the class of the lineages of the Literati bankrupts, part of the family rituals in T'ang Dynasty never disappears, in the contrary, it enters the whole society for its relations with the religion and the family, so that it becomes the composition of the main spiritual stream until the disappearance of the feudalism in China.
