The thesis has focused on childhood recollection writings in modern adult's literature since "May 4th Movement". Taking such life enlightenment problem as "man" and "selfhood" life pursuance as the clue, it systematically inspects the discoveries and achievements of modern Chinese literature towards childhood life during the last century, and further discusses the peculiar significance of this kind of writings in modern Chinese literature (adult's literature) and modern children's literature.The thesis is composed of six parts: Firstly, it inspects the occurring context of the recollection writings in each period in perspective of social cultural and literature circumstances, and points out the basic writing motives come from the writers' cultural and ego identity anxiety. Writers' subjectivity being strong or weak determines the ups and downs and the evolution of childhood recollection writings/The second, third and fourth parts concretely analyze the connotation of childhood recollection writings in the occurring coherence of all kinds of writings from three aspects, i.e., "man's" ideal demand, crisis seeking, and "self construction source-tracing. The enlightenment course of childhood life embodies a gradually deepened process that self-reflection consciousness goes from imagination to authenticity and introspection.The fifth part comprehensively analyzes the poetry value of childhood recollection writings, and clearly shows the peculiar significance of "man's discovery" subject in modern literature, the aesthetic effect on constructing the ontology of life and art, as well as the surpassing value and guidance of children's literature in writing at life standard. In the last parts, the author comments on the aesthetic poetry character brought by the composition psychology.of recollection in this kind of writings, points out that its integral aesthetic character is "poetry" and "reality", and analyzes the internal cause of the formation of aesthetic inclination and the style of literary from the psychological deducting scheme of recollection and the artistic thinking features. In the epilogue, the author points out the current prejudice of childhood recollection writings which reflect the common dilemma in modern literature.This study has significance in both theory and practice.Firstly, the thesis has a foothold of humannology. The research method and results of the thesis can provide important enlightenment for current children's literature. Furthermore, the realistic significance of the study also lies in its all-round and profound analysis on childhood life state and in offering enlightenment for adult's self-life retrospection in real life.
