This thesis makes a descriptive research on the 111copies of Mongolian documents collected in the Mongolian Writing Files in First Half of the 17th Century sorted and published by Mr. Li Bao-wen from the point of view of etymology and linguistics. Based on the corpora built up, using the statistical ways, it systematically describes the language phenomenon of the documents and by comparing it to the Middle Mongolian and dialects of the languages of Mongolian language group, makes a comparatively further study of the phenomenon of the language and script in 17th century Mongolian language.The thesis is made up of 5 parts as introduction, alphabet and orthography, vocabulary, features of vocabulary and brief summary.Introduction mainly introduces the significance of the language study of the documents, the general introduction of the research concerned home and abroad, the situation about the set-up of the corpora and the Latin transliteration.The first chapter mainly describes the alphabet and orthography, specially written words, punctuation marks, the writing rules of the loan words and the features of the officialese forms and general forms.The second chapter mainly describes the grammatical categories, forms and the changes of the nominal and verb of the language of the documents.The third chapter mainly describes the vocabulary features of the documents and makes exploration to the dialect vocabulary, loan words, vulgarism and proverbs.The brief summary gives a comprehensive stun up of the content of the whole thesis and introduces the main research achievements.
