Research On Cultural Relations Between Chinese And Western Culture Under The Angle Of Globalization

The research on the Chinese and Western cultural relations had not been paid much more attention ,and was not thoroughly investigated. But as to the research on the influence and funtion on the relations between culture and people, relations between culture and the development of society, and the research on the culture which influences and acts on the relations among countries had not been put in the mainstream areas of study and thoroughly discussed. With the end of the the Cold War, the world situations has dramatically changed, the fast progress of world economic globalization, the high waves of cultural globalization, the research, which has gained significantly more attention on many aspects and many fields, such as on the relations between culture and people, the relations between culture and the development of society, particularly, the culture relations which influence the relations between our country and western countries, the communications and cooperations between our country and western countries.The first, the crash of cultures and of many aspects among different nations and different countries has been showed .Because different nations and different countries have different cultural foundations, different cultural systems, different cultural customs and different cultural concepts, they respond to the globalizations differently. The second, different countries and different nations which have different comprehensive national power respond to the globalizations differently, regard differently and choose differently, of course, the crash on cultures and different aspects may happen. With the forming of the western cultural imperialism, and the strengthening of western cultural power, non-western countries stick to their own cultural positions, fear of and oppose the culture communications, holding on their own local cultures, and face foreign cultures with hatred intentions. With the cultural relations among the countries having changed greatly, cultural relations between China and western countries will change accordingly. Only do we exactly grasp the new changes, new features, new problems, we can construct new cultural relations between china and western countries. Therefore, this dissertation work expounds and analyzes Chinese and western culture relations all-sidedly from historical, present, and future aspects, and also expounds the new changes, new features, new problems emerging from Chinese and western cultural relations in the time of globalization, and expounds the influences and functions of those changes on the constructions of new Chinese and western cultural relations. At same time expounds and analyzes the chinese and western cultural relations from theoretical aspect.In Chapter 1, the research on the theoretical relations of culture, culture and people, culture and the development of society from theoretical aspect is completely carried, expounds the relations between cultural globalization and cultural nationalism,that is the relation of"cultural power and opposing cultural power". The interaction relations of cultural globalization and cultural nationalism began in end of 1970s last century, from that time the western countries began the strategical transformations, from"power"transferred to"soft power", that is seeking for cultural superiority. Especially with the end of cold war, economic globalization, communication globalization have prompted the forming of cultural globalization.Western countries have transferred a large mount of cultural products and push on cultural-aggressions, facing the invasion of the cultural power of the western countries and the weak of the national concepts and the threatening of the loss of national traditions. At such kind of situation non-western countries have tried many means and many ways to control the influence of western culture, safeguarded the traditional benefits of their own nations. On the other hand, many problems of development at present cannot be made clear and solved within certain national countries, and must surpass the national borders, find out the common basic point of all nations to solve the problems on behalf of all nations'viewpoints. When western countries are so happy because of defeating the competitors, they think over the future word. The western countries always think of the suitable way not to spend more and win the victory in the future competition. In the end they choose the culture as a good way to become superpower so as to conquer the heart of the people of. the other countries.In front of the new situations and complex international surroundings, the main theory of international relations cannot explain the reasons. So the scholars turn their attention to the non-main theories of international relations. Because of this, people generally choose culture as the angle to analyses the international relations. Chinese and western cultural relations is the relations of the two big civilization systems, and also is the world important cultural relations. If dealing with the relations between Chinese and western cultures well, it will promotes the understanding among China and western countries. If we can't deal with well, it will cause the crisis and the crash. Because of this, it is the need of the social development and the present period to construct the cultural relations between china and western countries in the time of globalization.The chapter probes into the new situations of development of Chinese cultures and Western cultures after laying up in the world scope from the future angle in the time of globalization and boldly predicts and constructs the new culture relations between China and Western countries ,which is equal, complementary, co-existing and co-prosperous.In summary, through the work of the five chapters in the dissertation, the theoretical structure of the Chinese and Western cultural relations in the modern globalization time is formed . The framework of the new cultural relations between china and western countries is predicted and created and the possible approaches, ways and choices to realize the new cultural relations between china and western countries are proposed. It is concluded that the dream of a new cultural relations between china and western countries will come true if china and western countries are willing to work together in stride to create a harmonious world that is equal, complementary, co-existing and co-prosperous.
