The main content of this thesis is focusing on the comparison of feminist writing from China Mainland and Mahua Wenxue (Malaysia Chinese Literature) under the cultural context. This thesis based on the female writers' novels from these two countries, and intend to review on their discourse pattern and narration choices, as far as to determine their subjective status as a writer is concerned. The thesis also review the work of these writers from the perspective of feminism, comparison literature and cultural study. This thesis also study the development of feminist writing from both countries, including their distinguishing of narration and theoretical meaning of their work. As the result of the multilateral view and wider perspective, this thesis ought to examine the meaning of creative writing and literature history in female literature from these two countries.This thesis is made up of several chapters. The first chapter is defines and confines the concept of female literature of Mainland China and Malaysia Chinese Literature, and descriped the history changes and the development of female literature in both countries. But it gives the emphasis on Mahua Wenxue's female writers and the cultural context in this country. This chapter will primarily analyses the development and formation of Malaysia Chinese Literature, stating how the heterogeneous cultural context in Malaysia give the impact to the local women writers, thus, forming an unusual cultural phenomena.The second chapter is a description of the cultural identity of the female writers in Mainland China and Malaysia Chinese. First, it is an analysis of the differences of their cultural identities. By using this differences as starting point, the influence of writing due to the differences in acknowledgement of identity is discussed, and thus point out their involvement in different cultural context of their work. Meanwhile, the emphasis also given to the dualism identification, marginalize writing , diaspora and the sense of belonging of one's cultrural identity of the female writers of Mainland China and Malaysia Chinese. The third chapter is a exploration of the literary territory of description of female writing. The main emphasis involved the 'Queer Theory' as the part of feminist literary theory. Its indicate that gender and power as element in culture and aesthetic, which blazing new trails in feminist writing from both countries. Chapter four also give a move through study on feminist writing as a strategy. This chapter study how the female writers from both countries use 'Body Writing Theory' (ecriture feminine) to express their ideology. This group of works not only demonstrated the physical or sex experience of a person in their novel but also contain representation of the multipicity meaning of the reformation of a characters, so as to establish their literary independence.The chapter five discuss how the ideology of third world feminist give the impact to the writing of these two countries' women writer. The study goes on to the problem of the related theories and makes the theoretical meanings more significant. Emphasis is given to the differences between the third world feminism and western feminism, giving a reflection of Mainland China and Malaysia Chinese' female novel on the literature meaning of feminism in third world countries. By comparing the feminist writing of Mainland China and Malaysia Chinese ought to make a dialogues between these two group of female writers, which also help contribute to effectively advancing the development of feminist writing in Chinese modern and contemporary literature.
