Basing on the death philosophy in Sino-western cultures and the literary creation influenced by it, the author combined the metaphysical thinking on death and briefly reviewed the general contents and features of the death which had been the meta-topic in the process of Sino-western literatures. It makes much efforts to laying the theoretical foundation for the study on the death narration of Chinese novels in 1980s-1990s.Integrated with essence from ancient Sino-western literary creation, a kind of rheological process with its own characteristics had been evolved in the death narration of Chinese novels in 1980s-1990s. Firstly, the death narration experienced the evolution from narrative death to death narration, it not only marked the death narration from childishness to maturity, but also prominently reflected the cognition of authors on the role of the death narration had been continuously further developed and their reining ability on death narration had been enhanced a lot. Secondly, in the period of the 1980s-1990s, the death narration was turning into anti-hero, no matter seeking the root of literature, Pioneer novels, or the new realism novels and the new historical novel etc. Whatever the style was that had been exploring in the soil of death narration as well. They described the different death in their own unique ways, and demonstrated unique styles and features. The author comprehensively expounded the death narrations of those mainstream authors, and also focused on relevant creations of the non-mainstream authors. Proceeded with the phenomenon of Wang Shuo , the 1990s women authors and later generations, he analyzed and expounded cause of formation and the features of the death narration in literature creation. Meanwhile, proceeding with the choice of the cultural strategy and the reference of foreign ideas, the author also analyzed the different basis of ideology and changful forming of the death narrations during the period in order to furthered explore the theory.With the vertical neatening as well, the author takes a comparative study on the death narrations among several special literature styles (author suicide and military fiction) and two kinds of literature creative trends which are keep abreast and most influential currently (alternative root fiction novels represented by Zhang Chengzhi and vanguard novel), it consummates the explanation on the changes and features of the death narration in the 1980s-1990s novels on the horizontal level.Additionally, the author analyzes the aesthetic styles and the narrative methods of the death narration in the China 1980s-1990s on the views of essentialism and literary creation. Based on some specific texts to expatiate that the death narration which was one of literary narrative elements had reflected the noble continuation, the highlights of the return, the beauty and ugliness and absurdity; In the view of narration, the death narration in 1980s -1990s has also realized a breakthrough of the perspective choice on which the author also mentioned. Throughout the analysis on the complicated perspectives and various examples, he makes conclusion on the changes and the effects from different angles of the death narration.With multi-perspective on choices by authors, the death narration becomes maturer on literary creation.
