Song Title Sequence Study

The specific study is about Song Ci's prefaces.There are four parts in the structure of Song Ci: the name of the tune,title,preface and text. In the four parts, the name of the tune and the text are indispensable and are produced at first, which are rich in music meanings apart from literature meanings, but the title and the preface are dispensable, appeared subsequently and unrelated to music. Predecessors gave less attention to the title and the preface. Although they didn't completely ignore them, most of them only quoted them as other studies' supporting information, and had no further elucidation to themselves. In this dissertation I will study the "bits and pieces" of Song Ci, trying to study Song Ci from a special perspective, and the times and the world behind it. This paper is composed of two parts: overall study and case study.The odverall study includes the introduction and the first,second,third chapter.The introduction is the definition of concept of Song Ci 's prefaces,summary of research status,description to the significance and methods. Through looking for the root of the word "title and preface" and summing up,clarifying predecessors'_related discussion, defines the study object—prefaces:a piece of words long or short between the name of the tune and the text,written by the author himself, used to describe the time and the place, reason and related emotions,situation of creation.This study is rather weak now. The summary observes the case study and the overall study, summing up the focus of current research.The first chapter is the macro description to the history of Song ci'preface.Most predecessors thought that Tang ci had no preface.In fact,there were many prefaces in Dunhuang ci.But Song Ci's prefaces were not directly inherited from Tang Ci's preface because of some reasons. The development of Song Ci's preface, we will base on Wang zhaopeng's sub-period to Song Ci in《Tang and Song Ci's history》, dividing into Peace time,Change time,War time,Rebound time,Momentary ease time,Derished time. In this chapter time is the key link, doing describing the linear development of Song Ci's preface, and doing well bedding for the behind chapters.The second chapter is the exploration for the developement reason of Song Ci's preface. First it is the complement of Ci's congenitally deficient.As a kind of style that is most good at lyric,Ci is short at narrative,and the preface is the most useful complement.The second it is the performance of "mutual influence of poem and article":the literature of Song Dynasty was always migrance and find balancement in comply with style and break style,so the mutual influence of kinds of style is general,so Ci's preface was inflenced by poem's preface,ancient novels,style next to overflow produced by Wo Hop Cultural psychology. Besides, the change of transmission modes and the awareness of transimission, the national culture psychological of seeking truth ,all of these have strong promotion in Song Ci's preface's development.The third chapter is the discussion for Song Ci's preface's merits and demerits. Just like the other literature styles there are something inducing preface producing, and something letting it declining. Its function includes summarizing the content of the text, positioning the historical coordinates of the text,guiding or suppling the text. Its worth embody in literature value—moving emotional,beautiful artistic conception,beautiful words and historical words—the Ci poet information,the history information,the custom study information,the music study information.Though its limitation is obvious,because of its dependentment,it had not full growing,and the preface sometimes will limit the imagination of poet,limit the scope of dissemination, and mislead the reader.Then the fourth,fifth,sixth,seventh chapter are case studies.The fourth chapter is Dongpo Ci's preface's study. Dongpo was the first Ci poet that used a large-scale prefaces and did it very well. Dongpo's preface had phasic,legendary,literary features.His preface is the symbol of personal written, an important ways of increasing the narrative function of Ci,had great influence to the offsprings.The fifth chapter is Jiaxuan Ci's preface's study. Xin-qiji is the man retain the most prefaces in Song Ci's history. His preface had strong documentary, emphasis on social function, had a lot of joking prefaces like"play for","chaos".From these preface we can find what inflenced him:Cai songnian,Su shi,Huang tingjian,Xiang ziyan,and the social atmosphere at the time. These prefaces faithfully recorded his life.This is also the common feature of this time.These prefaces added to create Jiaxuan's image.The sixth chapter is Baishi Ci's preface's study, Baishi Ci's prefaces were recognized the best ones in the literature history. Jiang's prefaces had full beauty features,even the length and the style were consistent with the text. The preface and the text reached a harmonious situation. It is the most beautiful preface created with full intention,is excellent landscape essays of Song Dynasty,have important literature and music value. The seventh chapter is Caochuang ci's preface's study.Zhoumi is the representative of late Song Dynasty Ci poet.His prefaces can be regarded as a perfect end of Song Ci's preface. It has elegant style and is the representative of late Song Dynasty ci's preface.Because his special times and special identity, from his prefaces we can find his creative vision, his adherents mind,we can see adhenrent's life, and some of the features of late Song Ci.
