Overseas Chinese in Southeast Asia is China's overseas migrants, based on common origin and culture, Part of the overseas Chinese in Southeast Asia have been involved in the historical process of China, while China also has been paying special attention to their foreign life and development. Since some of them mainly live abroad and some even have gained the Foreign citizenship, the Overseas Chinese in Southeast Asia and China's relations will Inevitably be influenced by a list of international factors. Among all these factors, the most important one is the international system formed by the interaction of China and the residence country of overseas Chinese in Southeast Asia, because the influence of which is the largest and everlasting.Judging from the aspect of the international system, the relationship of the overseas Chinese in Southeast Asia and China belongs to the interaction of units in a system. According to the structural theory, structure is the key factor in restricting the actions of units. Therefore, the international system influences the unit-interaction by molding the unit-action with the help of structures. Thus the relationship between the overseas Chinese in Southeast Asia and China is influenced by the international system constructed by China and the residence country. However, the influence is not exerted by the system itself, but by the system structure, which moulds the actions of China, the overseas Chinese and their residence country in Southeast Asia. The restriction of the structure manifests itself as a structural option based on ration. The relationship of the overseas Chinese in Southeast Asia and China, fundamentally, is the outcome of the rational interaction among China, the overseas Chinese and their residence country based on their respective interests as required by the structural logic in the international system.
