Political cultures is a crucial aspect of the comprehensive culture system in China and China is a country which has been paying great attention to politics.This paper will start from traditional Chinese political thoughts, investigate traditional Chinese political culture systematically and discuss Chinese political cultures tradition and modernization.Chapter I . Political culture and Chinese political culture.The political culture is the combination of culture respecting political phenomena and is a crucial part of social ideology. Its core is the theory of political thoughts.Today, there are two theory systems in the world: One is the Capitalism initiated by western initials and this is capital political culture; And the other is the proletarian theory system presented by Marxism. In China, the thought theory system is the proletarian social political culture which is directed by Marxism, Mao Zedong's thought and Deng Xiaoping's theory.Traditional Chinese political culture is comprehensive, unique, significant, and takes on its complex aspect during the progress of the world history.In this culture, some of it is negative but there is a lot of positive content needs digging, inheriting, learning from and then developing during modern political progress.Chapter II . Transformation of Chinese political culture from tradition to modernization.The preparation stage of Chinese modernization (1840-1949) is the time when ethnicism was developing and modem ethnic countries took their forms finally.After Jiawu War, ethnicism began to upsurge inside Chinese society. And then after Xin chou, traditional political structure broke up and ethnicism developed into a new stage. And then Chinese society isdominated by long term corruption in Minguo period and transformation of ethnicism. Ethnicism was Chinesenized and a new country stood up on the debris of political corruption. In short, the most fundamental transformation during this period is the change in political structures and rules.Chapter III. The political culture of the present age's China.Nowadays in China, it is socialism and Marxism that help the development of modernization for both politics and people.This paper analyses the concept of political culture, its content, traits and Chinese unique traditional political culture. And this paper also suggests some new idea about the transformation from traditional Chinese political culture to modem political culture.
