The construction of common interests between China and ASEAN is of great significance both in reality and in theory. As far as reality is concerned, China and ASEAN are mutually benefited from the construction of common interests. In theoretical aspect, the development of China-ASEAN relations can be explained by realism, neo-liberalism and construetivism, the most famous theories of international relations.
