In a society upholds life-long education, a paradigm shift from "instructional paradigm" to "learning paradigm" has taken place in the field of Education. During the process of both challenging and supporting education, another paradigm shift, we name it as from "instruction-supportive paradigm" to "learning-supportive paradigm", also has taken place in the field of Educational Technology. The new paradigms of Education and Educational Technology require teachers improve their informational instruction capability in a real situation embodies new paradigms' ideas. The background provides us the inner motivity and reason to start the research. In this paper, we found a broad real situation for teachers to improve their informational instruction capability ?IT-Supported Instruction. This paper takes learning facilitating event as a research perspective to study problems related to IT-Supported Instruction. We hope to improve teachers' informational instruction capability by embedding technology into these learning facilitating events. This paper mainly includes six chapters. The forward introduces the practical foundation, research methods and key problem that this paper plans to resolve. The first chapter: The Paradigm Shift in the Field of Educational Technology and Challenges for Teachers. By comparing to the field of Education, this chapter analyses the paradigm shift in the field of Educational Technology field, also considers to the challenges for teachers. The discussion constructs the background of this paper's research. The second chaper: Introduction to IT-supported Instruction. At the beginning, we introduces the theoretical foundation and designing principles, then, with the discussion of "instructional events" of R-M-Gagne, we analyze the feasibility to study IT-supported Instruction from the "learning facilitating events" perspective. Further, on the basis of several cases study, we conclude 11 learning facilitating events. We also introduce the contents and IT support of these events simply. The third chapter: Designing Learning Objectives. The first part introduces learning objective macroscopically, including the reflection on traditional instructional objective and its development. The characteristics of learning objective are also analyzed in this part. The second part is the summary of three learning facilitating events, which are importing learning situation, informing the learner of the objective, adjusting individually. The third and fourth parts introduce two important designing aspects relating to informing the learner of the objective, these are how to design framing questions and how to designtasks. IT support is embedded in these two parts. The fourth chapter: Designing Learning Assessment. The first part introduces learning assessment macroscopically, including the reflection on traditional instructional assessment and its development. The related terms and characteristics of learning assessment are also analyzed in this part. The second and third parts introduce how to design two learning facilitating events separately, which are providing assessment tools and organizing real assessment. IT support is embedded in these two parts. The fifth chapter: Designing Learning Activities. The first part introduces learning activity macroscopically, including the reflection on traditional instructional activity. Characteristics of learning activity are also analyzed in this part. The second part is the summary of six learning facilitating events, which are informing the learner of the process, instructing pre-requisite capabilities, facilitating exchange and cooperation, providing learning resources, providing learning scaffold, facilitating products publishing. The third bto fifth parts introduce designing problems related to three learning facilitating events, which are facilitating exchange and cooperation, providing learning resources and providing teaming scaffold. IT support is embedded in these three parts. The sixth chapter: Research into IT-supported Instructiona...
