The existence of collapse column and its water yield property is the main factor to cause mine water inrush. Forecasting the water-rich area of the collapse column has an important significance for water inrush prediction analysis.The coal field geology and hydrology of Taoyuan mining in Huaibei was discussed firstly. Seismic data was reprocessed and reinterpreted. This thesis formulated two collapse column geological models in the mining area. Combining with the remodeling and normalized log data, it is precise to complete logging-constrained impedance inversion. Based on rock physics theory, the forward model between the rock’s porosity and acoustic impedance then was established. The correlation of log response characteristics, seismic attributes and geological lithology makes it possible to product the probabilistic neural network training. As a result, the apparent resistivity was predicted and identified, and it had a good application results. Through a comprehensive analysis about the resistivity of No8seam floor sandstone, No10seam floor sandstone and Taiyuan limestone of collapse column area of Taoyuan mine in Huaibei, the distribution characteristics of water yield property in collapse column was forecasted layer by layer. It provided basis for decision making in preventing and treating of water inrush.
