Under the guidance of "the adaptive strategy", the missionary methods of resorting to confucian classics and natural science, which the jesuits choosed,weakened the heterogeneity of western learning significantly and won the identification of "western confucians".When western science entered china,they were translated into confucian discource such as "GeWuZhiZhi" or "YiXue".These new knowledge which were stated by confucian discource promoted the traditional scholars to rethink and reconstruct the knowledge and cognitive methods systerm.At the same time,the confucianism was experiencing transformation from neo-confucianism to qianjia textology.The reinterpretation of "GeWu" became a core issue which can not keep off for the scholars during the later Ming and early Qing Dynasty.Whether the Cheng-Zhu school,the Lu-Wang school or the Yan-Li school,began to attach importance to evidence-based knowledge and the method of empirical study.The knowledge and methods of science had became an indispensable component and a new growth point of classical studies.Because of the extensive exposure to "DongCHuan" science and the inheritance of "Wu" school,this article choose DaiZhen as an example.DaiZhen accepted western science through various channels,which consisted of MeiWenDing’s astronomy calculates books communicating between his teachers and friends,compiling of series and collecting in study tours;thereby,he acquired a bird’s eye view of the western science that had entered china,and he brought them into a traditional knowlege systerm which named by " LiuYiZhiXue".Many marginal knowledge such as geography,astronomy,mathematics,mechanics and biology shifted into the core location of the confucianism.Concept analysis is distinguishing feature for " DongCHuan " science,especially for astronomy and mathematics which were the most wide-spread science in that era.Meanwhile,the jesuits attach the importance to chinese philology.These two aspects serve a demonstration for DaiZhen’s axiomatic philology research,which always be the most essential textology method.The general notices of textology was one of the application of induction."Be bold in making assumptions, but careful in proving it",which also evolved from "DongCHuan" science,was widely applied in literature criticism.Furthermore,DaiZhen also attempted to organize his philosopy thought in deductive ratiocination.DaiZhen’s textology research regarded "Having heard the’Tao’" as the terminal pursuit."Qi" was considered the most fundamental element in the universe."Tao" was defined as the kinematics and kinetics law of "Qi",which was the reason of creation and extinction of every thing." Xing " was considered as "Differentiation of Tao"."Li" was defined as "To dissect and describe the characteristic of every thing in order to distinguish one from another".All these concepts were based on new knowledge and cognitive methods systerm.Given all that,"DongCHuan" science had played a key role during the formation of DaiZhen’s textology.
