Based on collecting and analyzing the previous work in this area, the authormakes a comprehensive research on evolution characteristics of deposit, goldmineralization time, the spatial distribution and metallogenic mechanism, then buildsup the model of mineralization of south Songshugou gold deposit in Dabanshansection of Qilian Orogenic Belt according to the regional metallogenic backgrounds,geological and geochemistry characters of deposit, mineralization and developmentand utilization of resource. Moreover, beneficiation studies of ore mineralcomponents of the deposit in the W-E section has been carried out to increase theleaching rate of gold and make the valuable elements from ores well recycled andzero discharge of toxic and hazardous tail water.According to field survey of deposit and comprehensive study of geophysics,geochemistry and geological features of south Songshugou gold deposit, the authorthinks that the gold deposit experiences the Caledonian volcanism andHercynian-Indosinian magmatic intrusion, and the final formation of the deposit isrelated to the large-scale shear structure and fluid activities of lateHercynian-Indosinian intracontinental collision orogenesis, which makes the theoriginal ore-forming materials activated, migration, enriched and deposited. So it is apolygenetic compound deposit.This paper summarizes the features of alteration zoning, and the southSongshugou gold deposit is firstly defined as porphyry gold deposit.The authorpoints out that gold deposit, copper deposit, lead-zinc deposit in W-E section areformed at the same metallogenic series but the various stage. Then, the researchwork of deep metallogenic prediction of south Songshugou gold deposit has beencarried out and3predicted targets have been outlined in the depth and periphery of the deposit. This study of this paper is a good example because researchachievements are served in mining production which has been proved by thesuccessful exploration, and qualified ore bodies are discovered in the depth of themain orebody,west orebody and between the W-E section.At last, according to the occurrence state of gold, preparability, mineral dressingprocess and comprehensive utilization of gold, it demonstrates that the gold mainlyoccurs as free gold in chalcopyrite and feldspar. Especially,it clearly points out thekey factor that affected gold leaching is the degree of oxidation or weathering offeldspar, it provides theoretical basis for increasing leaching rate of gold andimproving mine environmental conditions, as well as elevating the level ofcomprehensive utilization of resource, and also it’s beneficial for the enterprise.The field experiment suggests that the key technology applied to mineraldressing process is available.The regime of agent is improved after studyingpreparability and process technology of gold, the content of toxic materials in tailwater is controlled and then utilization of backwater, therefore zero discharge of tailwater is realized.
