In this dissertation the pool-forming condition of thin coal seams CBM reservoir in Xishan coal field were researched. According to the CBM reservoir condition, the coal seams group hydraulic fracturing experiment was proceed to develop a number of thin seams coal-bed methane and sandstone gas. The author gained the following innovative results:Firstly, through the analysis of the CBM reservoir condition in Xishan Coalfield, the coal seams group hydraulic fracturing was presented; Secondly, launched the coal seams group hydraulic fracturing experimental projects, thin coal seams CBM gas production regular pattern was obtained based on the analysis of product data; Thirdly, hydraulic fracturing crack rule was generalized based on coal and rock mechanical properties, to explore the many layers of coal paragraph laws, the method to calculate the crack width and length was discussed; Fourthly, the production of fracturing a single coal, fracturing coal seams group, the single-seam multilateral horizontal well and the coal seams group multilateral horizontal well were simulated, hydraulic fracturing coal seams group well has the best gas production.The coal seams group hydraulic fracturing technology has been identified as the main technology of Coal bed methane development in Xishan coal field. The technology should be theoretical guidance and will broad application to similar geological conditions on the ground CBM development.
