In order to solve the problems of the roadway position and supporting in lower coal seam ofultra-close distance coal seams in Zhong Xing Mine, the influence on the lower rock seam stressand structures is analized by theory, numerical method and simulation experiment when the uppercoal seam is mined. With the theory method, the influence on the coal pillar stability in upperseam with the different parameters were discussed, the calculation equation is given withconsidering the coal seam tilt angle,and then the width of stability coal pillar of Zhong Xing Mineis obtained. With theorial analysis and numerical simulation, the coal pillar stability andasysmatric stress distribution caused by the upper coal seam mined were analized, the reasons oflocal overloading on supporting structure, local damage and structure disability of roadway underuneven stress field were explained. The suitable position of roadway in lower coal seam ofultra-closer distance coal seam was discussed, the method to obtain the suitable position ofroadway was proposed, and verified in material and tail roadways of2200lower workface and1202lower workface. The bolt-girder supporting method was proposed to improve thesurrounding rock structure of roadway in lower coal seam. Compared with the existing supportingmethod using numerical simulation, bolt-girder supporting controlled the deformation of roadwaybetter.
