Coal body structure is the important factor affecting the effects of CBM welldevelopment. Taking3#coal seam of Sihe and Zhaozhuang mining area which are inthe south Qinshui basin as the research object, field observation, experimental research,theoretical analysis and numerical simulation methods were used to carry out the highcoal rank coal body structure and its influence on CBM well productivity research. Inorder to reveal the permeating law in stress-strain process of primary coal and tectoniccoal, physical-mechanical properties and permeating law in complete stress-strainprocess of coal rock were studied by coal rock mechanics experiment. The relationshipbetween logging curve and coal structure was established via the analyzing of loggingresponse characteristics of coal structure. Based on logging curve, the coal structure ofresearch area was divided, moreover, distribution characteristics of coal body structurein the study area were revealed. By isothermal adsorption experiments, adsorptionproperties of different coal body structure under different temperature and pressurewere analyzed. Combined with the analyse of desorption, diffusion and percolationmechanism of high rank coal CBM, the CBM well productivity features of differentcoal body structure and its influential factors were studied by application of numericalsimulation software, furthermore, compared Sihe with Zhaozhuang minefield, they were applied to analyze development effect of CBM well in both minefield, andattained good application effects.
