Bamboo plastic composites as the new type of environmentally friendly materials with excellent properties are widely used in construction, logistics, automotive industry and other fields. In this paper, researches are focused on the formula, cross section structure design and core-shell structure design of the bamboo plastic composites. The main goal is to explore the optimization method of the section structure design of the bamboo plastic composite and to proven the relationship of structure design and the use of performance. Bearing mechanics analysis model of the bamboo plastic composites is built. Combining the method of theoretical calculation, finite element simulation and experimental analysis, the effects of the shape, the number and the size of the core hole in cross section and the shell structure on the bearing capacity and the ability of resistance to deformation are studied systematically and the new method of structure design and properties control of bamboo plastic composites with the structure of core-shell is proposed. The researches can quantitatively guide the structure design of related products. The results show that:1. The effects of the content, particle size of bamboo powder and interface modifier on mechanical properties and microstructure of the bamboo/HDPE composites are analyzed. Besides, the optimized formula of the bamboo/HDPE composites with excellent properties is determined and basic mechanical design parameters of bamboo/HDPE composites is quantified.2. The bearing mechanics calculation model of the cross section shape of bamboo plastic composite is built using the theory analysis of mechanics of materials. Combing the method of finite element simulation and theoretical calculation, the effects of the shape, the number and the size of the core hole in cross section on the bearing capacity and the ability of resistance to deformation are studied systematically. Moreover, the optimization design method of the floor section structure is verified through experimental research and the core layer cross section shape structure of the bamboo plastic composite with better comprehensive properties is obtained.3. Based on the optimized formula and cross section shape structure of the bamboo/HDPE composites with excellent properties, the influence of core-shell structure on the bearing capacity and bending strength of the composites is researched using the. method of finite element simulation analysis. Using three different shell materials of HDPE, fiber reinforced HDPE and nanometer reinforced HDPE, the samples of the bamboo plastic composite with core-shell structure are successfully achieved. Besides, the effect of shell material on bending strength and bearing capacity of the composites is analyzed and the best formula and structure of the shell material are determined.The research results above enriched the theory of the structure design of the bamboo plastic composites and contributed to understanding of the relationship of structure and performance of the composites. This study can provide not only detailed experimental data and theoretical basis to optimize the structure design of the bamboo plastic composites, but also technical guidance for the industrialized production of the structural core-shell bamboo plastic composite. This study has important theoretical and practical significance.
