Part I Effects of flupentixol/melitracen combined with Esomeprazole on the reflux symtoms in NERD patients with anxiety and depressionObjective:Investigate the effects of Flupentixol/melitracen combined with Esomeprazole on the reflux symptoms in non-erosive gastroesophageal reflux disease (NERD) patients with mild anxiety and depression using GERD questionnaire.Methods:Totally84NERD patients were diagnosed with NERD accompanied with mild anxiety and/or depression according to HAD score, HAMA score, and HAMD score. They were randomly divided into two groups:40patients in Group A (Esomeprazole group) and44patients in Group B (Flupentixol/melitracen combined with Esomeprazole group). Patients in Group A were treated with Esomeprazole20mg twice daily for8weeks, while those in Group B were treated with Esomeprazole20mg and Flupentixol/melitracen10mg twice daily for8weeks. GERDQ score were evaluated before and1,2,4,8weeks after the treatment.Results:1. There was no statistical difference between group A and group B in GERD Q score before the treatment (P>0.05);2. After1,2,4,8weeks treatment, the GERD Q score in group B was significantly lower than groupA (P<0.05), GERD Q score in both groups were reduce after one week treatment, the GERDQ scores of group B reach to normal level, group A is higher than normal;3. After2,4,8weeks treatment,GERDQ scores of both groups remain at level in one week treatment, cand there was no statistical difference between groups (P>0.05);4. GERDQ scores of both groups were statistical different before and after treatment (P<0.05).Conclusion:Flupentixol/melitracen combined with Esomeprazole is more effective than Esomeprazole alone in treating NERD patients accompanied with mild anxiety and/or depression. Flupentixol/melitracen as complementary medicine could improve heartburn and aypnia problems of NERD patients with mild anxiety and/or depression. Part Ⅱ Effects of flupentixol/melitracen combined with Esomeprazole on mental state in NERD patients with anxiety and depressionObjective:Investigate the therapeutic effects of Flupentixol/melitracen combined with Esomeprazole in treating non-erosive gastroesophageal reflux disease (NERD) with mild anxiety and depression by HAD,HAM-D and HAM-A.Methods:Totally84NERD patients were diagnosed with NERD accompanied with mild anxiety and/or depression according to HAD score, HAMA score, and HAMD score. HAD score, HAMA score, and HAMD score were evaluated before and1,2,4,8weeks after the treatment. Results:Before the treatment, there was no statistical difference in the HAD score, HAMA score, and HAMD score between two groups (P>0.05). There was statistical difference in the HAD score, HAMA score, and HAMD score between the two groups after1,2,4,8weeks treatment (P<0.05). HAMA score, and HAMD score were significant down regulate in both groups after8weeks treatment (P<0.05). HAD score down regulate in group B but not in group A.Conclusions:Flupentixol/melitracen combined with Esomeprazole could effectively treat NERD patients accompanied with mild anxiety and/or depression. HAM-D and HAM-A scales are more sensitive than HAD scale in testing psychological factors in NERD patients with mild anxiety and/or depression. Part Ⅲ Effects of flupentixol/melitracen combined with Esomeprazole on different mental factors in NERD patients with anxiety and depressionObjective:Investigate the therapeutic effects of Flupentixol/melitracen combined with Esomeprazole in treating NERD patients with mild anxiety and depression by analyze the factor items.Methods:Totally84NERD patients were diagnosed with NERD accompanied with mild anxiety and/or depression according to HAD score, HAMA score, and HAMD score. HAMD score factor items were evaluated before and1,2,4,8weeks after the treatment. Results:Before the treatment, there was no statistical difference in the HAMD score factor items between two groups (P>0.05). There was statistical difference in anxiery/somatization, cognitive disorders, sluggish and sleep disorders between the two groups after1,2,4,8weeks treatment (P<0.05). Conclusions:Flupentixol/melitracen combined with Esomeprazole could effectively treat NERD patients accompanied with mild anxiety and/or depression. Anxiety/somatization, cognitive disorders, sluggish and sleep disorders can be obviously improved.
