On Cultural Soft Power In China Contemporary

In today’s comprehensive national strength evaluation program, more and more cultural soft power,and many other factors are included; it has become the overall trend of the comprehensive national strengthevaluation. Cultural soft power is an important part of comprehensive national strength. It is the result ofnot only gradually increased status of cultural in the economic and social development, but also ofincreasingly penetrate of the national will into the individual sphere of existence in modern society. It canbe predicted that the effect of cultural soft power to the comprehensive national strength is growing andwill eventually become the core elements dominate the other material factors, dominate the transformationof the international political situation and the rise and fall of the country.Socialism with Chinese characteristics is an unprecedented model of social development. In order forSocialism with Chinese characteristics to survive, develop and grow in the contemporary internationalenvironment, we must fully understand the role of culture, make good use of the rich historical and culturalresources and the scientific concept of socialist culture, and improve the level of cultural soft power. Toimprove the soft power of culture is an important manifestation of implementing the scientific concept ofdevelopment, an important principle to enhance the comprehensive national strength, an important meansto enhance national cohesion and shaping the image of the country, also an important force to promote theshift of economic development mode.Cultural soft power is a typical Chinese concept, which to some extent is affected by the concept ofsoft power in the Western context. The study of soft power must adhere to the Marxist conception of culture,at the same time to do critical analysis of the concept of Western culture.In this paper, it analyzes and discusses contemporary Chinese cultural soft power, using dialecticalmaterialism and historical materialism, literature, comprehensive induction and analysis, as well asmulti-disciplinary research methods.Discussion on the main contents of this article includes the following eight parts: First is introduction,explains the significance of the Present study of contemporary Chinese cultural soft power, the status ofstudy of the subject at home and abroad, research ideas and methods, focus, difficulties and innovation.Second is discussion on cultural soft power and its related concepts; Third is analysis of the position of cultural soft power in the historical development; Fourth is analysis of cultural soft power and thedevelopment of contemporary China; Fifty is summary of the achievements of China’s cultural soft powerconstruction; Sixth is analysis of shortage and challenges of construction of China’s cultural soft power;Seventh is proposal of the main way and countermeasures to promote and enhance China’s cultural softpower; Eighth is conclusion, the construction of China’s cultural soft power is a systems project.The result of this paper is mainly six aspects: First, the multi-angle analysis of culture. Based on thisanalysis, combing and define the meaning of cultural soft power, its main content and element. Includingthe meaning and role of culture; the meaning of cultural soft power; its main content, elements,characteristics, which laid the foundation of this article.Second is to analyze the background of cultural softpower: the enhancement of the status of culture in economic and social development, the increasinglyprominent role of culture in promoting the development of modern society as well as national competitionconstitutes a background of this issue, the healthy development of socialism calls for cultural constructionstrengthening constitutes another background of this question. Third is an overview of importance ofcultural soft power in contemporary Chinese development, the importance of enhancing cultural soft powerin the development of China. Fourth is Summary of the achievements of China’s cultural soft powerbuilding, the continuing development of our country needs to enhance cultural soft power. Fifth is analysisof the shortcomings and challenges faced by the China’s cultural soft power building, the experiences,lessons learned from cultural construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics, the main problems ofthe soft power of Chinese culture; the challenges of China’s cultural soft power building, the main source ofproblems and challenges of China’s cultural soft power. Sixth is to propose ways and countermeasures topromote the upgrading of China’s cultural soft power: the consolidation of the system of socialist values,enhancement of national cohesion; improvement of the socialist system of culture, enhancement theinfluence of national decision-making power and mode of development, the promotion of culturalprosperity and development, enhancing national cohesion and innovation; to improve internally andexternally, to enhance the influence of the national image; to clear diplomatic strategy concept to enhancethe coordination of international relations.The paper concludes that the construction of China’s cultural soft power is a systematic project. Theconstruction of cultural soft power in our country is an urgent work to strengthen. China’s cultural soft power construction needs to focus on soft power discourse changes in the world, to positively attention andrespond to the challenge of "smart power". We need to use both hard and soft way, the positive interactionof the "soft power" and "hard power" to promote the peaceful development of a harmonious society ofsocialism with Chinese characteristics, to promote the realization of a harmonious world concept as soon aspossible.
