The studied period spans thirty years from1950s to1980s, crossing twogenerations of poets growing up respectively in the time of pre-and post-world war II, including twopoetry trends of Modernism and Realism. The study contents are involved with the concrete or abstract dimensions of Chinesecomplex/ideology embodied in the modern poetry written in Taiwan with four subjects categorized. The second one is “Diaspora China”, ahaunting country filled with nostalgia, where the poets’ ancestors were buried and family waiting forunion. The third one is “Classical China”, a fascinating country with long history and elegant culture, where is the poets’ spiritual conviction and hometown forever. The fourth one is “Virtual China”, avisible China, where some people returned to embrace their long-missing families or offer sacrifices totheir ancestors, and some to visit the historical scenes or make a tour of exploration.
