Study On The Social Thought Of Huainanzi

Huainanzi’s social thought is rich in content, this is due primarily to the explorati on and research of many thinkers about the field before the early Han dynasty. These r esults not only provide a solid foundation for Huainanzi, also provide beneficial enlig htenment for the system of Huainanzi’s social ideological and theoretical framework. Liu An’s personal experience, knowledge, ideological tendency and status also determ ines the broad and profound Huainanzi’s social thought. Of course, the complex social environment provides the realistic condition for Liu An to deepen Huainanzi’s social thought. Huainanzi’s social thought makes the theory of human nature and Dao as the the oretical foundation, it says that Dao is the basic law of the universe evolution, Qi is th e material universe formation origin. Humanity has two qualities:the natural attribute and social attribute, to improve the previous cognition of human nature. The social problems of concept is the core of Huainanzi’s thought system of society, it is the link between reality and ideal ties, and it is set realistic basis of social control theory,too. Huainanzi’s social control theory describes the policy strategy of t he national management, it says separately dimensions of the various measures,such a s the ideological, economic, military, political and legal, and so on.These measures is the Huainanzi’s specific method to achieve the ideal society. Huainanzi’s social thoug ht conceives ideal social prospects, it contents beautiful custom, suitable desire for ev eryone, free development, orderly, and so on.Lushichunqiu Annals provide beneficial enlightenment for Huainanzi’s social tho ught,.the two books have many similarities on the basis of theory, social values, social control theory and the concept of an ideal society. But because of differences in the th eory of human nature and social problems,there are many differences about the unde rstanding on social values between them, and so the means of social control should be taken are different, there are also differences between the ideal social model eventuall y conceived.Huainanzi and Chunqiufanlu finished in the similar history period, this makes that there are many common points about the real social problems, and this also makes t he two books have similarities in social values and social control theory, etc. But beca use of the different fundamental position of Confucianism and Taoism, the differences of social ideas of the two is the main. The ultimate pursuit of Huainanzi’s ideal societ y is free and harmonious, and Chunqiufanlu pays more attention to social stability and orderly social.
