Research On Liu Chao Li Zhi

Deqian Sun’s Liu Chao Li Zhi is a book which has done extensive and deep research on the Pian Wen in "six dynasties"from multiple levels and perspectives and holds an important position in Chinese Pian Wen criticism. This paper centres on this book, focusing on the analysis and revealing the achievements and characteristics on Pian Wen to explore its unique academic value.This paper is divided into seven chapters, mainly including seven aspects. The introduction, the first chapter, mainly describes academic background in the late Qing Dynasty, Deqian Sun and the writing process of Liu Chao Li Zhi and the comments from the people that time. The second chapter focuses on three different names of Pian Wen in Liu Chao Li Zhi such as "modern style","Si liu", and "Pian Wen". The third chapter mainly discusses Pian Wen in "six dynasties", which mainly includes the themes of controling the world and social conventions and customs, the themes of landscape and time series and the themes of expounding Laozhuang ideology and buddish. The forth chapter focuses on the discussion of art style in Liu Chao Pian Wen in Liu Chao Li Zhi, such as " the Pian Wen in’six dynasties’ as ’air of feminine’ ", "the anti-fall, turn the gas within the submarine". The fifth chapter focuses on the creation theory of Liu Chao Li Zhi, focusing on analysis and presentation of the book about the discussion of duality, allusions, Bi Xing and contrast, the combination of Pian Wen and San Wen. Chapter VI focuses on the comments of the Six Writers in Liu Chao Li Zhi, namely, Tao Yuanming, Ren Fang, Shen Yue, Yan Yanzhi, XieLingyun, Jiang Yan, Fan Ye. Chapter VII focuses on the discussion of some categories of Pian Wen in Liu Chao Li Zhi, the main points are sequence body, seven bodies, and Lianzhu body.The major conclusion of the book is:Liu Chao Li Zhi is a book which combines inheritance and innovation. From the inherited side, the names of Pian Wen, "integration of Pian Wen and San Wen" and the theory of "Qi Yun Theory" and "the anti-fall, turn the gas within the submarine" in this book is formed by learning and absorbing their predecessors. From the side of innovation, the book has unique insight into the understanding of aesthetic characteristics, comments on the main Pian Wen authors, as well as several criticism of Pian Wen. Although some opinions are inevitably worth further discussing, there are something to be learnt from. Therefore, Liu Chao Li Zhi is an important work concerning Pian Wen.
