The existence and development of the middle-income class of a country and society, not only relying on its own purchasing power to support its country, boosting domestic demand and maintains steady and rapid economic growth, but also plays an indispensible part of an "olive-shape" social structure, maintaining social harmony and stability. Today China is experiencing an overall transformation in economic system, social structure and social pattern, in the face of threat of the "middle-income trap", expanding the group of middle-income class will accelerate the transformation process in social structure, social pattern and economic system at the same time. Also by expanding the group of middle-income class will strengthen our ability to handle crises, change the mode of economic development, and make sure China gets round "middle income trap in the future. Therefore, the expansion of middle-income class group means a lot to China."Twelfth Five-Year Plan" pointed out that "Make great efforts to realize income of urban and rural resident’s growth and economic development simultaneously, increase payment for labor and boost productivity of labor simultaneously, significantly increase the income of low-income group, maintain the middle-income groups to extend...".The formation of the middle-income class lies on the growth of economy, at the same time, during the transformation process form planning economy to market economy, from old-fashion society to modern society, form agricultural society to industrial society, the growth of the middle-income group is affected a lot by the national policy and political system which some time play decisive roles. In this essay which specifies on the theoretical base of the middle-income group or middle class in the prospective of economy and sociology, base on the economic research frame of "political system economic, growth and income distribution", combine the research objective and the aim of the research, use sociological theory of dynamic, mechanism and polarization theoretical model as framework. The essay contents five parts, six chapters:The first part will be chapter0which mainly focus on introduction of the essay, elaborating on the most update achievements and elements both in china and aboard. In the Chapter0, it will recite the background of the research, questions, the aim of the research, notion and framework, method and tools, drawback and innovation of the research, review and update trend both in china and aboard in this field.Papers study the scope of vision of innovation. At present, the academic for the "middle class","middle class" of more middle-income research for less, Wang Kaiyu, Chen Year two scholars for many middle-income research focused on the macro-level or province area of middle-income groups for the study. This put the spin-off middle-income people in rural areas, and urban middle-income people constitute this study.Innovative research methods paper. Middle-income strata of past research, the experience is basically descriptive, rarely come from the relationship between the number of urban and rural middle-income research. In this paper, economics and sociology, from the economic, institutional aspects of middle-income strata of the formation and development were analyzed, a more comprehensive reflection of middle-income strata of the formation and development of the internal mechanism.Thesis of research findings and innovation. This paper analyzes the transition period and other income derived from the three basic properties of those classes, namely:the income gap between urban and rural areas and middle-income class expanding negative correlation, Institutional Change and middle-income class expanding positively correlated, the rural middle-income stratum in rural areas lags behind the increase in middle-income class, this may be the first time that theoretical perspective, and thus for the deepening of our understanding of middle-income people have a certain theoretical reference value.
