Study On Developing And Changing Situation Of The Chinese Character In Chinese Words Of Korean

This dissertation takes the Chinese morpheme as the research object in order toresearch the change of the Chinese morpheme in Korean speech sounds,morphememeaning and word formation,finally explains the change by language contact theory.This dissertation is divided into five chapters.Chapter1is an introduction of reviewing research about Chinese words, as wellas the goal and methodology of this study.Chapter2inspects the developing and changing situation of speech sounds ofthe Chinese morpheme in the Korean, and explains the reason for change.Chapter3divides the Chinese morpheme which meaning has changed in Koreaninto three classes: the morpheme that still kept the historical meaning of Chinesecharacter; the morpheme that already derived new meanings under the influence ofJapanese; the morpheme that derived new meaning by itself. Finally this chapterexplains the specific changing line of morpheme meaning.Chapter4takes the Hanja of Korean coinage as the research object and aims todiscuss the word formation of Chinese morpheme in Korean. Then through thecomparing with Chinese words, this chapter attempts to explain the understandingand application situation of Chinese character by Korean nation.Chapter5is a conclusion of innovation and insufficiencies of this dissertation.
