As the outstanding representative of inorganic-organic hybrid materials, the functional coordination polymers is one of the active research fields in recent years, due to their potential application in the field of gas adsorportion, luminescence, magnetism, photoelectricity, sensing, catalysis and photocatalysis etc. In this thesis, by used the selected aromatic tetracarboxylates and the designed bifunctional ligands to assemble with transitional metal ions or rare-earth metal ions with the help of diverse bis(imidazole) linkers, we obtained 41 novel coordination polymers, with the structures ranged from OD to 3D frameworks. All complexes have been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction、elemental analyses、XRPD analysis、thermal analysis、fluorescence and the variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility. There are following five chapters:In chapter i:A brief introduction of the inorganic-organic hybrid materials, coordination chemistry, supramolecular chemistry, coordination polymers and other basic concepts and principles. Selective focus on the development of coordination polymers described in a new direction and new ideas.The chapter ii:By using the rigid aromatic tetracarboxylates to react with the transition metal ions in the prescence of bis(imidazole) linkers, we have got 14 CPs:[M(tptc)o.5(1,3-bimb)(H20)]n (M= Ni for 1, Mn for 2), {[Ni(tptc)0.5(1,4-bmib)]0.25H2O}n (3),{[Ni(tptc)0.5(4,4’-bibp)2(H2O)]-2H2O}n (4),{[Ni(tptc)0.5(4,41-bimbp)1.5(H2O)]H20}n (5), [Cu(H2tpt)(1,4-bidb)]n (6), {[Co2(tpt)(1,3,5-tib)(H2O)]-7H2O}n (7),{[Ni(tpt)0.5(1,3-bimb)]H2O}n (8), {[Zn(qpt)0.5(1,4-bimb)]-3H2O}n (9),{[Zn(qpt)0.5(1,3-bimb)]H2O}n (10) [Co(H2Oabtc)(bibp)]n (11),{[Mn15(Oabtc)(H20)2](H2bmib)·0.5H2O}n (12), {[Cdi.5(O2abtc)](H2bmib)o.5·2H20}n (13), and [Cd(nip)(bibp)]n (14). X-ray diffraction structure analysis showed they were multi-dimensional sheets or frameworks. The structural comparisons indicating that the bis(imidazole) linkers with different length and flexibility play important roles in determinting the structure diversity.In chapter iii:By using the designed W-shaped 1,3-di((2’,4’-dicarboxylphenyl)benzene (H4DDB) to react with the transition metal ions in the prescence of bis(imidazole) linkers, we have got a series of CPs:[Ni(H2DDB)(H2O)2(μ2-H2O)]n (15), [Ni1.5(DDB)(1,4-bib)1.5(H2O)]n (16), {[Ni2(DDB)(1,3-bib)2(μ2-H2O)]·2H2O}n (17), [Cu2(H2DDB)2(1,4-bib)2]H2O (18),{[Cu1.5(HDDB)(1,2-bimb)]H2O}n (19), [Co1.5(HDDB)(1,4-bib)1.5(H2O)]n (20),{[Co2(DDB)(1,3-bib)2(μ2-H2O)]·H2O}n (21), [Zn(H2DDB)(H2O)2(μ2-H2O)]n (22), [Zn2(DDB)(1,4-bimb)]n (23), [Zn2(DDB)(1,3-bimb)]n (24),{[Zn4(DDB)(HDDB)(1,3-bmib)2Cl]·H2O}n (25), {[Cd2(DDB)(1,3-bimb)]·H2O}n (26),和{[Cd2(DDB)(1,3-bmib)(H20)o.5]H20}n (27), with the structures ranged from 0D to 3D frameworks. Besides, the luminescence/magnetic properties as well as the photocatalytic activities have been inverstigated.In chapter iv, By using the designed bifunctional ligands to react with metal ions, we have got 142D or 3D CPs:[M(ITA)]0.5H2O}n (M=Zn (28), M=Mn (29)),{[Zn(ITA)(bib)0.5]·1.5H2O}n (30), {[Ni(ITA)(bib)o.5(H20)3]H20}n (31),{[Zn(ITA)(bimb)0.5]·0.5H2O}n (32), [Cd(ITA)(bimb)o.5(H20)2]n (33), [La2(BTA)1.5(ox)1.5(H2O)3]n (34), [Nd(BTA)(ox)0.5(H2O)]n (35),{[Ln(HBTA)(ox)(H2O)]·xH2O} n (Ln= Pr, x=0(36), Ln= Sm, x=0 (37), Ln= Dy, x=1.5 (38), Ln= Eu, x=1 (39)), [Ln(BTA)(SO4)0.5(H2O)]n (Ln= Eu (40), Ln= Tb (41)). Besides, the luminescence as well as photocatalytic properties have been inverstigatedIn chapter v, The conclusions and prospects.
