Study On Xiantao Dialect In Hubei Province

Xiantao City(formerly Mianyang County)is located in the hinterland of Jianghan Plain,located in south-central Hubei province.Mianyang has formed over 1,500 years,and the cultural history of Mianyang dates back to at least 5000 years ago,Neolithic,Mianyang dialect that has experienced thousands of years of accumulation,through word of mouth,from generation to generation until today.Except for some special occasions,all people communicate with each other in Xiantao dialect within Xiantao.Xiantao dialect belongs to Southwest Mandarin Chinese,they are slightly different,mainly in phonetics.This dissertation employs survey,mainly in Xiantao downtown area,for the study,also employs conversion,comparison,analysis and distribution of inductive,deductive reasoning,etc.,from the phonetics,lexicon,grammar,and other aspects to study,combining the theory and examples to dig out some of the special linguistic phenomena that exist in the evolution and development of Xiantao dialect.This dissertation is divided into five chapters,each analyzes the characteristics of phonetics,lexicon,grammar,etc.The first chapter is an introduction,firstly it introduces the Xiantao population,geography,history,and language usage administrative divisions,and then analyzes the internal differences in Xiantao dialect,and combes the previous case study of Xiantao dialect,while drawing and depicting all the phonetic symbols.The second chapter is about phonetics research of Xiantao dialect,analyzes the situation and Syllable in Xiantao dialect,explores the relationship with rhyme tune of Xiantao dialect,ties for the twelve tables to describe the specific circumstances of their rhyme tune together,and then describes the phonetics characteristics of Xiantao dialect from the sound Features Department,Colloquial,the new old-fashioned three different reading,and lists Homonyms according to "Dialect Word List",then compares Beijing phonological from consonants,vowels and tones sound three aspects,and finally,analyzes the characteristics of phonological consonants,vowels and tones of Xiantao dialect by comparing with the medieval tone.The third chapter is about lexical research of Xiantao dialect,in which describes and analyzes the lexical features from word formation,lexical differences and special words,and cites twenty-three classification vocabularies,cites a number of examples from everyday life angle.The fourth chapter is about grammar research of Xiantao dialect.First,starting from the lexical point of view,describes the overlapping of Xiantao dialect,language affix,diminutive,space and location,the number(numerals and quantifiers),pronoun,extent,pronoun,mediated association cited,dynamic auxiliary,foley(interjection and onomatopoeia),modal particle and so on,and then analyses the grammatical phenomenon of Xiantao dialect:as disposal constructions("Ba"),passive sentences,causative sentence,comparative sentences,interrogative,negative sentences,may sentence,existential sentence,imperative sentences,exclamatory sentences,double object sentences,verb compliment sentence(complement mark,Penn up word order)and so on.The fifth chapter is about sound recording of Xiantao dialect corpus,intuitively records the phonetics,lexicon,grammar phenomenon of Xiantao dialect through some of the stories,legends,ballads,songs,sayings,riddles,and other instances of grammatical sentences.
