The object of this thesis is the water color painting and the traditional Chinese ink painting,the main research problems is:Based on the study of the rules of materials and techniques used in water color painting and ink painting,the similarities and differences of aesthetic ideas conveyed by the two parties are studied,further study of the possibility and necessity of water color painting learning from the traditional Chinese ink painting.The first chapter mainly discusses the watercolor and ink language material,first of all,use from the study of traditional watercolor watercolor paper and modern watercolor painting used a variety of different substrate materials of discussed a variety of substrate materials with different properties and different characteristics in watercolor painting in the process to play the different effect;secondly,this paper introduces two kinds of representative views of color in the view of Western color:the color view of visual experience and the color view of science;again,the influence of the development of China’s paper-making in the development of ink painting,especially the influence of the emergence and development of Xuan paper on ink and wash paintings,and Chinese brush the generation and development process and the brushwork of the evolution process is discussed,this to the development of Chinese ink painting produced important influence,finally,the change process of Chinese painting from color to ink is discussed.The second chapter of this paper mainly analyzes the techniques of water color painting and ink painting.Among them,the traditional water color painting methods can be divided into three kinds:wet method,dry method and wet dry method.The performance of traditional watercolor techniques are:dry pen stippling,dry brush,permeability,rendering and color breaking,precipitation,blank,washing,scratching.The basic methods of modern watercolor painting are:dry method and wet method of coloring,coloring,and mounting method.The basic performance of modern watercolor techniques:wax method,color line,a clamping oil,propylene,drain washing,splash color method,stickers method.Key features pen ink painting,ink painting with ink painting method and color mode is also discussed in this chapter.The third chapter mainly research different aesthetic spirit behind water watercolor painting and Chinese ink painting,at first,discuss the three basic characteristics of Western painting aesthetics spirit:the pursuit of "beauty in form"and "imitation" and the ideal of beauty.And the theory of Chinese classical painting five propositions;secondly,discuss watercolor painting and Chinese ink painting represented different aesthetic pursuit.Among them,the pursuit of "visual beauty" is the essence of watercolor aesthetic spirit and China traditional of by Lao Zi and Zhuang Zi as the representative of the Taoist School of philosophy is the essence of ink and wash painting.Finally,the paper discusses the different concepts and aesthetic category of water color painting and ink painting,which focuses on the concept of freehand brushwork in traditional Chinese painting and the concept of "realistic" in the western traditional painting art.The fourth chapter of this paper discusses the problems of contemporary Chinese watercolor painting from two angles of theory and examples.From the perspective of the production and development of watercolor painting,from the perspective of the localization process after the introduction of water color painting,especially from the point of view of the advantages of the water color painting itself,there is a theoretical possibility for the contemporary watercolor painting to draw lessons from the Chinese ink painting.From the concrete operational level up,Chinese contemporary watercolor painting to reference of ink and wash painting skill and technique,but also learn from the intrinsic aesthetic spirit of the Chinese classical painting art.In fact,a considerable part of Chinese artists have already been practicing the national road of water color painting.Orthodoxy watercolor painting development,watercolor painting presents the problem mainly is not only itself on a technical level,and artistic conception and aesthetic value orientation problems.Now the water color painting art has been through several generations of people for a century of efforts,attention and emphasis on the exploration of the spirit of national art,play the advantages of the Oriental art should be mentioned in the agenda.Chinese watercolor painting should use their own national culture inherent mode of thinking,to Chinese painting,pen and ink to make food,to prepare the new techniques of watercolor painting,and tried to keep the characteristics of watercolor painting itself,give full play to the Chinese painting smart,the spirit and freehand brushwork spirit,this is the future development direction of Chinese water color painting.
