A Study Of The Rank Of The Poets In Qianlong And Jiaqing Period (of The Qing Dynasty)

The rank of the poets in Qianlong and Jiaqing period(of the Qing dynasty)is a remarkable book.It based on the plot of the fiction,Shui Hu Zhuan,to comment the poets in the two periods.Lan Ju Zhong had said:The Rank sometimes praised the talent of the poets,sometimes took a metaphor between their temperament to the character of the fiction,sometimes a poet and the character have the some surname,and sometimes they have the similar art.By conducting these correlations.,the rank distinguished the biographies and the pome style of the 148 poets.The 148 poets could be diveded into degradations and successes.In terms of poetic style,the148s includes Weng Fanggang(???)who enthrones the Zhishi(??)artistic style,Yuan Mei(??)who enthrones the Xingling(??),Shen Deqian(???)who enthrones the Gediao(??),meanwhile the rank registers the poets as Huang Jingren(???),who has a jolly poetic style,QianZai(??),who has a Youse(??)poetic style,and LiJian(??),who's style is weird.Generally speaking,this rank covers the various schools peots in that time.It is have no disputed that Chen Wenshu(???)and Shuwei(??)who are the two major author of the rank.The comment to the poets of the two periods from the two poets of that time,is more pertinent than the successor's assessments.So we can consider the rank as a unique history of the poetry circle of the two periods.However,since the rank had been compiled,there is only the Zhou Wenjing(???)'s Master degree papers focus on it,besides Ye Dehui(???)'s edition and inscribing on it at the end of the Qing Dynasty.This situation is caused by the informal manner from the authors partially,and the rough remarks,the bewildring life story and artistic style of the148s,are all the factors which lead to the frustrating situation too.So,many scholars may think it's vain to dig into the rank.Consequently,I decide to make a compass collation to the rank in my paper of doctorate.The assignments of my work is to eclusidate the authors'intention,collect related material,contrast authors'comment to other critics'comment.By doing these,to rectify the mistakes and bias,and to confirm the reasonable comment,of the rank.I think my research will improve the value of the rank.My paper is divided into two parts.The one is preface.This part is focus on the following points:Firstly,on the base of existed rese arch,I will insightly explore the exact author of the rank,espercial ly the paticipation of Chen Wenshu on it.Secondly,on the base of Zho u Wenjing's achivement,I'll explore the time of completion of the rank.Thirdly,I'll give a brief introduction to all edition of the r ank which I have achived,and then explore the order of these edition s.,and the process of the rank's passing from generation to genera tion.At last,i will summurize the features of the rank and demonstr ate them.The other part is collation.This part is focus on the follo wing points:Firstly,collating the text of the rank,to produce a reli able texture.Secondly,give a biographies to 148 poets where the matr ials originate from according to Academic discipline of historiograp hy.Thirdly,make a detailed explain to the 51 remarks of the rank.Inc luding to explain the historical allusion and the interesting anecdo tes about the poets.Besides these work,i'll try my best to expolre the motive of that authors decided to make a relation between a poet to the corresponding character of Shui Hu Zhuan..I'll argued advan tages and disadvantages of different candidates between edtions.
