Explosion separation device is widely used in rockets,however lacking of enough theoretical support in structural design.In this paper linear explosion separation device is the study object.The energy distribution and dynamitic damage of protecting retainer during linear explosion separation has been studied.First of all the energy property of mild detonating fuse,energy resource of linear explosion separation device,was studied.Deformation cylinder tube test was developed to study the energy output efficiency of mild detonating fuse in cylinder tube.Basing on the energy transformation and conservation,energy distribution in symmetrical protecting retainers was deduced.Mild detonating fuse loading test of symmetrical protecting retainers was designed.The deformation of protecting retainers was divided into holistic part and local part,and different equations were proposed to calculate the strain energy.Numerical simulations of experiments were conducted to validate energy distribution law in symmetrical protecting retainers.Energy distribution was applied in real explosion separation device and energy distribution law in explosion separation device was deducted.The cross combination tests of three kinds of protecting retainers and three kinds of separation plate were developed and numerical simulated.Following the simulated results,energy distribution during explosion separation was validated.Finally,GTN constitutive model with damage was studied and corresponding subroutine was compiled.Material subroutine was validated by contrasting with experimental results,and parameters for protection retainer were obtained.Material subroutine was applied in simulating the dynamic damage of protection retainer duration the separation.Simulated results are consistent with experimental results.The application of GTN constitutive model with damage would supply effective scientifical support in structural design of protection retainer.
