| Education is the important approach to improving the quality of the population and training talents needed in society.It is essential to enhance ecological civilization education in the process of ecological civilization construction and firm establishment of ecological civilization concept in the whole society.Based on the improvement of people’s consciousness of environmental protection and related behavior ability,ecological civilization education enables people to consciously follow the natural ecological law and the law of development of human society and actively improve the relationship between human and nature,human and society as well as relations among different people to promote the development of national ecological civilization and create conditions for building a beautiful China and achieving sustainable development of Chinese nation.Therefore,developing ecological civilization education strongly and fostering public ecological awareness,which is the title meaning of ecological civilization construction and a critical link for achieving sustainable development in China.Under the guidance of scientific outlook on development,on the basis of inheritance from the ecological thought of traditional Chinese culture and reference from advanced ecological thought in the West,taking the severity of worsening ecological environment both at home and abroad and the status quo of the overall low ecological civilization quality of the Chinese citizens as the starting point,taking the family education,school education,social education and other educational ways to improve the ecological civilization quality of citizens as the end-result,combining theoretical illustration with empirical study,adopting logical structure of raising,analyzing and solving the problem,to establish scientific outlook on ecology and cultivate ecological citizens in the whole society as the ultimate goal,the paper conducts a systematic study on ecological civilization education of China,puts forward a series of targeted views.In the preface,the paper gives a full review of relevant literature and introduces the research methodology and innovative points.The first chapter focuses on analyzing the connotations and features of ecological civilization education as well as the relationship between ecological civilization education and relevant concepts.In the second part,based on summarizing the development process in ecological civilization education in China,the author points out the achievements and problems in current ecological civilization education,and gives a deep insight into the causes of problems.The third chapter summarizes the origin of ecological civilization thought,illustrates the theoretical foundation of ecological civilization thought from the aspects of ecological civilization thought of Marx and Engels,the CPC,the ancient China and the modern West.Based on the previous parts,the fourth chapter states the guiding principle of ecological civilization education-scientific outlook on development,and also specifies the ultimate goal of ecological civilization education—cultivating ecological citizens,and then the goal is specialized.In accordance with this goal,the contents of ecological civilization education are explicit.In the fifth chapter,the author constructs the system of ecological civilization education from the perspective of macrography,medium and micrography,thus constructing the operation system of ecological civilization education from the aspects of security,stimulus and evaluation and setting the implementation principle of ecological civilization education from the aspects of educators,educational ways and spatial differences.In the sixth chapter,the author gives a specific illustration of three approaches to implementing ecological civilization education—family ecological civilization education,school ecological civilization education and social ecological civilization education,and lists detailed methods.In the conclusion part,the author summarizes the whole text and makes predictions of the tendency of ecological civilization education of China.In view of the fact that ambiguity of ecological civilization education goal in theoretical study,this paper endeavors to set the ecological civilization education goal as ecological citizens with scientific outlook on ecology and ecological behavior,also defines the connotations of scientific outlook on ecology and ecological citizen.In the meanwhile,this paper refines the goal from the perspective of psychological structure and the relationship between knowledge and practice to make it feasible in reality.In addition,this paper stresses that the ecological civilization education is incorporated into the formal national education system to make it standardized and systematic to strengthen the effectiveness of ecological civilization education.Furthermore,this paper concentrates on constructing the system and mechanism on the macro level,and providing effective systematic design for the practice of ecologeal civilization education on the theoretical level. |
