The Collection Of Inscriptions Of The Yuan Dynasty And The Research Of The Writing And Vocabulary

There have been a lot of research findings about stone inscription documents.Seen from the specific dynasties of these documents,we find that researchs are mainly focusing on documents before the Five Dynasties,especially the Wei,Jin and SouthernS and Northern Dynasties.However,the dynasties after the Five Dynasties,especially Yuan,Ming and Qing Dynasties,few researches have been done on their stone documents.This paper focuses on stone inscriptions of Yuan Dynasty,tries to fill up the vacancy of collating these documents,and hopes to drive the relevant researches of stone inscriptions in recent history.The Yuan Dynasty has its special place in China’s history.It has huge territory,large amount of nations,specific state systems,social instability,sharp class contradiction problems,complex religion forms,convenient land and sea transportation,frequent communication with foreign countries.We haven’t seen all these in former dynasties.Because of some historical reasons,most ancient documents are lost,which in some extent limit the study of the history of Yuan dynasty.With large number and rich classification,stone documents have become one of the most important materials when doing research on the history of Yuan Dynasty.This paper first collects,collates and researches these stone inscriptions of Yuan Dynasty.Based on the stone rubbings or the original stones,this paper makes a fully and careful collation of stone documents of Yuan Dynasty.As for those without explanations,we put forward our own explanations.And try to provide a reliable stone document of Yuan Dynasty.And provide materials for further study,such as history,politic,economics,society,religion and culture.Characters and words of stone inscriptions in Yuan Dynasty have great research values.This paper first make fully collation and study of stone characters,especially the folk characters.And tries to show the basic view of newly-formed folk characters in stone inscriptions.Analyze the transformation of character forms and show the basic feature of folk characters in stone inscription of Yuan Dynasty: simplification.Through this work,we provide reference of character forms for the study of the history of Chinese characters.At the same time,we discuss about the sources of these folk characters,and figure out the value of researching stone inscription characters.This paper first classifies and studies the words and phrases of stone inscriptions in Yuan Dynasty.On research category,this paper mainly focus on special words and phrases of law inscriptions and religion inscriptions.And tries to show the feature of time.We hope to provide important supplement for the study of Modern Chinese and Chinese language history.
