Li Zehou’s Aesthetics And Confucian Tradition

Li Zehou’s life has witnessed several major period caused by political changes of Chinese history.His unique life experience also deeply engraved in the development of his aesthetic thoughts.Historical and political,different scholars in many ways had an impact on Li Zehou’s aesthetics thoughts,while the ones with most significant factors than any other can be seen as the Confucian tradition theory,which always presents a "The positive and negative " evolutionary path onto guiding Li Zehou.As a native Chinese scholar,Li Zehou also got influnced by western acedemic.The subjectivity generate far-reaching influence on Li Zehou’s aesthetics,which lead him to apply those theory onto interpret Confucian tradition considering the attitude of criticism and reconstructism in Li Zehou’s study.In his later years,although he was aware of the importance of the Confucian tradition in emphasizing Kant and Marx,it is still difficult to convert the western research model.Focused on Confucian tradition,Li developed his own research model.Therefore,Marx,Kant and Confucian tradition in Li Zehou’s theory system always present as a combination.They have grown into Li Zehou’s aesthetics ideology even if that has not been widely functioned.In addition to the Confucian tradition,Marx’s theory is another throughout main idea in Li Zehou’s aesthetics developing process.Different from the Confucian tradition in guiding Li Zehou’s thoughts,Marx’s theory helps to build up Li Zehou’s Chinese cultural modernity transformation regarding inheriting the Confucian tradition theory.Li Zehou’s practical aesthetic thoughts on general have been influenced by Marx’s methodology in various periods of study of interpretation.Li Zehou’s radical model of subject-object dualism consist of instrumental rationality and freedom,taking time to practice the spirit of initiative on historical practice of objective idealism.Li Zehou’s thoughts are influenced by marxist reasonable reasoning.Considering Kant’s philosophy under the influence of subjectivity,Li Zehou establish moral theory of subjectivity.It combines the Confucian tradition of "benevolence" as well as
