Japanese aggression. At the same time,it also had an important influence on the Chinese literary and ideological circles at that time. Therefore,he realized his self-value and social value as an exiled intellectual.Park Eun-sik’s literary translation includes the translation of the Chinese version of "the History of the Founding of Switzerland" and the prose works in the late Qing dynasty.Due to the differences in the author’s political thoughts, the political situation in China and Korea and the different expectations of readers in the two countries, the two editions of the "the History of the Founding of Switzerland" with little difference in translation content were interpreted differently in China and South Korea, endowed with different meanings and had different influences.Park Eun-sik’s edition of "the History of the Founding of Switzerland" is more in line with the national conditions of the country, and inspires the Korean people with the history of the Switzerland,so as to promote the national consciousness and enhance the patriotism of the people. In addition,Park Eun-sik also translated and published the prose written by Liang Qichao and the American missionaries who came to China in the late Qing dynasty.Through the comparative study of the translated works of Park Eun-sik and the original works,we can find the characteristics of the translated works of Park Eun-sik,including the changes of language and sentence patterns,as well as the deletion and rewriting of the original contents.Behind Park Eun-sik’s prose translation of the late Qing dynasty are the problems of lack of patriotism and education that both China and Korea faced at that time.By translating prose works of the late Qing dynasty,Park Eun-sik absorbed and publicized Liang Qichao’s patriotic thoughts and educational reform thoughts as well as western educational thoughts, which promoted the spread of Korean patriotic thoughts and the reform and development of education.Park Eun-sik translation of the Chinese version of "the History of the Founding of Switzerland" and his reference and absorption of the patriotic thoughts and educational thoughts in the late Qing dynasty reflected the exchange and sharing of knowledge and thoughts between China and Korea under the background of the eastward movement of western learning.Park Eun-sik’s prose embodies his unique understanding of the times, including understanding of China, understanding of Japan, understanding of Sino-Korean relations, understanding of east Asia and understanding of the world. In Korea,Park Eun-sik’s understanding of the times focused on the reform of the Qing government system, the self-improvement of Korea and the unity of the three east Asian countries. At this stage, the understanding of China and east Asia is relatively narrow, and some of the understanding is biased. His experience of exile in China, including revolutionary practice and cultural exchange activities in China, greatly enriched and broadened his understanding of the times and promoted the development of his understanding of the times.Park Eun-sik’s understanding of China became more multi-angle,dialectical and comprehensive, such as the affirmation and criticism of the revolutionaries and the dual cognition of Yuan Shikai. He also had a more accurate and objective understanding of Sino-Korean relations and the world situation. His prose text presents the strong anti-Japanese consciousness, the consciousness of Sino-Korean union and the consciousness of peace in east Asia, which reflects his political and cultural consciousness from the periphery to the center. The historical biographical novels of Park Eun-sik actively constructed the narration of the Korean historical heroes and shape the images of the heroes,so as to promote the patriotic spirit and the anti-enemy spirit of the historical figures and inspire the people to learn the patriotic spirit and the rebellious spirit of the heroes. At the same time,he looked forward to the emergence of new heroes among the people,to save the people and the country from the crisis, and to restore the independence and freedom of the country. With the hero imagination,Park Eun-sik emphasized the construction of national discourse and the anti-Japanese discourse, revealed national servility due to little Chinese consciousness, and the resulting loss of patriotism and group consciousness of the nation, criticized the deep-rooted old national character such as the ignorance, apathy, onlooking, distraction, and emphasized the importance of education, put forward the education reform program, especially the importance of spiritual education, focused on transforming the old national character and training new citizens. At the same time,he criticized the aggression crimes of Japanese imperialism, advocated the anti-Japanese consciousness and the joint consciousness of China and Korea, promoted the anti-Japanese national salvation thought, carried forward the national spirit, embodied the strong sense of national mission and patriotic enthusiasm, and had important historical text value and social value. There is a close relationship between Park Eun-sik’s literature and modern Chinese literature.Park Eun-sik drew nourishment from Chinese modern and contemporary literature, enriched his own literary world and improved his own literary system. At the same time,it also had an important influence on Chinese modern and contemporary literature, and promoted the enrichment and development of Chinese modern and contemporary An Jung-geun narrative and anti-Japanese drama.Behind the influence and acceptance were the social situation and international situation of China and Korea and the readers’ reading needs. This shows the two-way interaction and generation between Chinese and Korean literature, and reflects the close communication between Chinese and Korean modern literature. It shows that the literature of Park Eun-sik has an important position and value in the history of Sino-Korean modern and contemporary literature exchange.Park Eun-sik’s literary creation is a kind of knowledge production activity of the colonized who subjugated the power, with his personal profound colonial experience and cross-cultural experience. Therefore,Park Eun-sik’s literature is post-colonial and discrete. From the perspective of culture, his literature reflects the post-colonial cultural thinking and modern self-consciousness,clearly shows the appearance of the era in which he lived and the spiritual world of the intellectuals, and reflects his cultural self-consciousness as an exiled Korean literati in China, which has important reference value for today’s society.Park Eun-sik’s literature was quite constructive and forward-looking under the background of the era of anti-Japanese and national salvation at that time. The study of Park Eun-sik’s literature is helpful to understand the social conditions and problems of China and Korea under the Japanese emperor’s colonial rule, and to some extent,it is helpful to solve the contemporary problems. To discuss the significance and value of Park Eun-sik’s literature and its contribution to the history of Sino-Korean modern and contemporary literature exchanges is helpful to deeply explore the east Asian spirit and cultural consciousness of the 20th century with the core of "mutual subject" and "harmonious coexistence",and to provide reference for the development of Sino-Korean relations and the construction of the harmonious coexistence system of east Asia. |
