A Kuwuwu Literary Anthropology Writing Research

Entering into the 21 st century,researches in the field of humanistic and social science are universally oriented toward anthropological perspective.With the progress achieved in comprehensive cultural research,increasing importance has been attached to the cross-over study integrating culture and anthropology.Contemporary anthropology and literature,with their deepened interactive dialogues,have undergone profound changes in their theory and research paradigm,leading to an increasingly clear-defined research paradigm and method for literary anthropology.Scholars started to grasp the historical context and academic tradition of modern Chinese literary anthropology,with inspiration from Wen Yiduo's mythological studies,Fry's “prototype theory” and the Cambridge's study on ritual represented by Fraser.Most of the research and practice of contemporary Chinese literary anthropology take cultural anthropology as the starting point to explain explicit culture,and then rooting into the perspective of primitive and mythological thinking,goes deep into the hidden part of culture.In addition,contemporary literary anthropology revalues “oral tradition” and “text and field”,exploring a path of “primitive mythological thinking--folk ritual narration--human narration”.Aku Wuwu is a Yi poet who works as both a writer and an anthropologist.His works,with strong Yi characteristics,depict the mountains,rivers,local conditions,customs,natural features,epic legends,customs and rituals of the Yi people living in the Liangshan region.His creations permeate with his affectionate observation on the feelings and destinies of the native people,forming the most significant feature of literary anthropology in his creation.This subject carries the study on the occurrence,development,background and practice of Aku Wuwu's creative concept under the literary anthropology vision.Guided by the contemporary literary anthropology theory,combined with the “text and creation” theory proposed by Xu Xinjian,on the basis of field investigation,this study carries an in-depth study on the elements,characteristics and significance of literary anthropology in Aku Wuwu's creation.The research is carried out from the following five parts: in the first part,the research background,significance and purpose are expounded;the status of related domestic and foreign research is sorted out;the research ideas and theoretical methods are discussed;the difficulties,innovations and shortcomings of this research are reflected.In the second part,the research,from the perspective of literature geography,discusses the occurrence and development of Aku Wuwu's literary anthropology concept,as well as his “local culture” and “cultural identity”.The study found that Aku Wuwu's childhood experience,his teaching experience,social practice and scientific reflection have produced important influences on his concept of literary anthropology.Thirdly,the research summarizes the background of Aku Wuwu's literary anthropology writing.In this paper,his “Liangshan-hybrid lineage” is considered as the broad background of his writing.In this context,his literary anthropology can be divided into three stages: the exploration period,the shaping period and the harvest period.Fourthly,through the close reading of his text and the author's field works,the author analyzes the factors regarding literary anthropology contained in Aku Wuwu's writing.This paper mainly discusses the folk culture,customs and belief of Yi nationality,and analyzes the anthropological characteristics and functions of his writing.In the last part,from the perspective of post-modern value and cultural context,this paper summarizes the writing methods and characteristics of Aku Wuwu,analyzes his value bias in field and text,oral culture and written culture,and affirms the positive effect of his writing on the "reproduction" of Yi culture.In addition,based on his “multi-ethnic literary history view”,this paper also makes a consideration on Aku Wuwu's literary view and values of writing in literary anthropology.?The research lands on the the following conclusions:First of all,it is of certain degree of theoretical and realistic significance for the researches carried on Aku Wuwu's literary anthropology creation.By bridging literature and culture,he reveals the symbiotic existence between literature and human cultural life.Therefore,his literature anthropology writing,as a pattern with global vision and cultural practices,boasts profound significance of cultural anthropology.Secondly,Aku Wuwu's profound reflection on modernity are fully expressed in his texts.With his unique vision and writing techniques,Aku Wuwu engages in his literature creation in line with the time,which shortens the distance between his works and the current world.Outwards,he looks at the world objectively,and inwards,he observes and analyzes himself calmly like a philosopher.Finally,Aku Wuwu's literary anthropological writing reflects that the existence and development of Yi culture,its self-management and social regulation are a process of cultural construction and reproduction.The success of his anthropological writing indicates the improvement of Yi people's ability to interpret their own culture as well as the understanding and acceptance of Yi people's culture from the outside world,which brings Yi people cultural confidence and promotes their cultural “reproduction” in the future.
