The Research Of The Earlier Qing Dynasty Thoughts Of Ethnic Relation

The Qing Dynasty is the last feudal dynasty in China,its position and role in Chinese history have been widely recognized by academic circles.In all stages of the development in Qing Dynasty,the early Qing Dynasty is undoubtedly a link between the past and the future,this period occupied an important position in the Qing Dynasty and even in the history of Chinese feudal dynasty.The exceptionally advantages of Qing and the early Qing Dynasty made their thoughts of ethnic relation,not only absorbed the essence of the traditional thoughts,but also summarized the valuable experience of the past dynasties,and created a system with its own national characteristics,it can be said that the thoughts of ethnic relation of the early Qing Dynasty is a great achievement of the thought of national relationship in the past dynasties.The politicians,militarists and ideologists who belong to this stage formed rich system though reflected and summed ethnic relations in history and reality.Guided by the thoughts,they not only correctly handled the relations with the Han,Mongolian,Tibetan and Hui nationalities,but also formulated the national policies and national systems in line with the development of the Qing Dynasty.The thoughts of ethnic relation of rules in the early Qing Dynasty has the characteristics of unification with political thought,the dualistic character of Manchu culture in the early period of Manchu formation made their thoughts have duality.The thoughts of rulers in the early Qing dynasty are closely related to Confucianism,however,as a feudal emperor,their thoughts have certain historical limitations.On the basis of predecessors’ research,a intensive study of the thoughts of ethnic relation of various historical figures in the early Qing Dynasty,the development of the thought is basically sorted out,the main contents of the thoughts are discussed in depth.This paper contains introduction,summary and six chapters.The introduction part introduces the reasons for choosing this topic,and states the significance,research methods and research focus of this paper.Chapter One expounds thethoughts of ethnic relation of Taizu,Taizong,Yuetuo and NingWanwo in Qing Dynasty,in this stage,the ideas of combination of benevolence and severity,honesty and referring to the Han for discretion became the footstones of the thought of ethnic relationship in the early Qing Dynasty.Chapter two is the thought of national relationship in the regency of Dorgon.This chapter focuses on the ideas of Dorgon,ShiKefa,FanWencheng and HongChengchou,Dorgon’s idea of "unification" laid the foundation for the ultimate unification of the Central Plains in the Qing Dynasty.Chapter three summarizes the thoughts of ethnic relation during the reign of emperor Shizu.During this period,the ideas of WangFuzhi,HuangZongxi and GuYanwu played a key role in inheriting and developing the traditional thoughts.Chapter four discusses the thoughts of ethnic relation during the reign of the Shengzu,emperor Kangxi’s ideas of Great Unity,Chinese and foreign integration,advocating the virtue rather than force,not only maintained the unity of the country,but also played an important role in the formation of the Chinese nationality multielement integration pattern.Chapter five combs the thoughts of ethnic relation during the reign of emperor Shizong,as an important period of the Kang Qian flourishing age,the ideas in Yongzheng period played a connecting role between the preceding and the following,for example,the idea of Great Unity of emperor Yongzheng promoted the final formation of China’s territory.Chapter six compares the similarities and differences of the thoughts of the rulers in the early Qing Dynasty and the famous emperors in the previous dynasty,through comparison,we can better clarify the thread of development of ancient Chinese thoughts of ethnic relation.The summary consists of five parts,firstly,it summarizes the inheritance and development of the thoughts in the early Qing Dynasty to the traditional thoughts and the ideological systems different from those of previous generations,secondly,this text analyses the differences between the ideas before and after the entry of the Qing Dynasty into the central plains,thirdly,this paper discusses the connection between the thoughts of ethnic relation and Confucianism in the early Qing Dynasty,fourthly,it summarizes the characteristic of the rulers’ thoughts in the early Qing Dynasty,fifth,it discusses the practical significance of the thoughts of ethnic relation in the early Qing Dynasty.
