Overseas Chinese literature has resilient to the spatial perspective due to writers’ experience and the inh erent cross-domain attributes of the writing objects.More and more researchers influenced by the trend of “spatial turn”and hot spot theories on domestic literary research begin to research on overseas Chinese literature with a spatial perspective. As an im portant part of the active and productive overseas Chinese writing,North American Chinese literature since the Chinese workers writing in modern times to the contem porary writing by new immigrants, has always been related to the m eaning representation brought by physical movement. But m ost of them only focus on m icro interpretation of writers and works, lack a system atic, comprehensive construction and theoretical sorting. Therefore,it is necessary to learn from space theory and space criticism, read the text carefully, along with historical facts and data, comprehensively observe the characteristics and interactions of North American Chinese literary space writing on content and expression. The typical space images change in th e text space and the evolution of spatial representation m odes since modern times should be paid attentio n.The literary respon ses of Nor th American Chinese lite rature to the discourse and social fields of in the sp atial dimension should be explored. The rich an d diversified spatial th eories at hom e and abroad expanding our thinking are prone to fo rm new structural constraints. In the face of a wide range of theories,we need to maintain an open mind and initially learn, always remain vigilant to avoid deviation of text interpretation due to excessive reliance on them. The basis for the s tudy of space writing in North Americ an Chinese literature is still th e theoretical integration of writing practice. Therefore, the intro duction part comprehensively sorts out the theo retical results of the "spatial turn" in the f ield of humanistic and social thought and the space theory in literary rese arch in the middle and late 20 th century. It focuses on the tr anslation, reinterpretation, and adoption in literary criticism of space theory in China. In the proces s of theoretical viewpoints deconstruction, collision, and fusion, cons idering the status quo of North Am erican Chinese literature creation, this pap er presents the structu re of space writing types from the perspective of utopia, heterotopi a and dystopia. This article breaks the existing thinking restriction of the spatia l theory model,on the one hand, from the practical spirit of realist narrative creation in North Am erican Chinese literature, refines the typical sp atial perception and constructive intentions as im portant materials to further observe the spa tial relations and spiritual changes expressed in literature. The first part with the "Utopian v ision" aspired by North Am erican Chinese literary writers in space writing, discusse s the "establishm ent" and "breaking" of poetic space positioning. The spatiality of the Western Utopia concept overlaps with the original Chinese Taoyuan space.W ith the assistance of modern aesthetics, allegorical narratives, and the overriding of reality with history, spatial imaginations of human spiritual impulses in different times were created. The utopia adoption in the early writings of Chinese workers shows foreign imagination on the profit-seeking in reality living space and discourse-lev el.The method of establishin g a nostalgi c utopia in a foreign country has also introdu ced in North American Chinese literature.Showcasing the idealized social demands of intergenerational conflicts when writing stories about families and seeking roots. The creation of new immigrants starts from a global anti-colonial discourse system, and makes utopian spatialization of revolutionary ideals. In addition, some writers have chosen the diametrically opposite utopian path, nam ely private space of ex istence, allegorical space separated from history, and other closed "e nclaves" outside the mainstream discourse,to counter the spatial inclusion of history and society. The second part draws on Foucault’ s "heterotopia" theory to analyze the cultural interpretation in the p rocess of sp ace writing’s reconstruction on real space. The heterotopia perspective represents the transformation of the literary research paradigm from history to space, urges literary criticism promote the development of knowledge, the formation of literary order, cognitive variation of spatial juxtaposition and othe r problems involving p rogress. On the disc rete space in the early immigration experience and the narrative of overseas students,Chinatown space has evolved from a forced ethnic settlement to be o therized into a landscap e space to tem of active otherization. The imagery of the basement increasingly transcends the marginal space in the disc rete narrative but witnesse s,and evolves the im provement of the immigrants; On heterogeneous space drifting away the present, the superposition of heterotopia in museums, memorials, cemeteries, etc.,The asylum is presented as crisis heterotopia, exclusive and contradictor y attributes, shows a state of spatial juxtaposition on different levels, spli t and diversified post-m odern knowledge production model; From the pe rspective of inwardly ex amined psychological space, the spatial images of psychological clinics, drawers, etc.,as a channel to intervene in the non-substantial heterotopia of psychological space, carri es the transcendence of the third space and have complex value that examines self-redemption,reflects on the times, and examines order and privacy. The third part observes the alienation of human beings in extreme scenarios and human reflections with dystopias perception. The development of Chinese literature in North America has been affected by the colonial crisis, cultural oppression in modern China together with ec onomy and war cris is in the W est,the two dystopian sp ace experience in the 20 th century. The influen ce of the two shows a m ore tyrannical and complex spatial attributes.Early Chinese imm igrants encountered the harsh liv ing situation of the "exclusion of Chinese",the mirror image of the criminal city during the war,the urban eulogy unde r the threat of contem porary terrorism represented by the "September 11" incident. It also includ es ethical islands in the extremely closed scenes of the for med by ignorance, povert y,disasters and other reasons. Therefore, the game and perdition of humanity and nature in the process of showing the suffering, and fearless struggle of the group was presented. The fourth focuses on spatial topologies in North Am erican Chinese literature. As a supplement to the induction and deductio n of the type of space writing and its transformation, the circulation, sep aration, struggle and even disorder of space sh ow the new thinking on intern ational relations brought ab out by the technological transition and the world space co llision and space radical change: ho w to positio n local existence in the construction of space circulation and globalization, how to face the spatial fragm entation and cognitive di slocation caused by th e difference in the rhythm of social d evelopment, how to inte rpret the spa tial competition rooted in human and condensed into social ideal s,these are the in stant problems of cross-domain writing requiring in-depth thinking. The fifth part targets the narrative strategy of dissecting the space writing of Chinese literature in North Am erica, thinking about how the spatial narrative at the expression level and the spatial representa tion at th e content level can ach ieve communion through narrative art.The target ed North Am erican Chinese literature creation selects on es with prominent features, high frequency of use.The spatial narrative methods bases on spatial elem ents.In view of the current creative situation and research perspective, under the integr ation of group creative strategies and the thinking of individual writing experience,it m ainly starts from three aspects: the double-line structure do minated by space juxt aposition, the orange-p etal structure with the typical space as the origin, and the nesting of story and discourse space. This study in th e end summarizes the spiritual history changes and creative transformations in the evolution of the spatial imagination of North American Chinese literature. In the turning of the writing category from "region" to "global",the deboundary topographical space writing and the global cultural symptom coordinate;Identity perception changes from “missing” and “seek ing” to the fo rmation of a diverse and com plex cultural identity.Invisi ble identity and the aes theticization of everyday spaces have becom e the conscious background for the new i mmigrant writers to expand the theme of writing;the prototype of professional stories transitions from “economics” to “technology”,the story space field transitioned from New York to Silicon Valley, beh ind the chang e of appearance, the re is actu ally a transition of spatial cognitive structure and contemporary reshaping of sense of value.
