Abstract/Summary:
Aspiring music artists desiring to enter the music business are faced with many obstacles preventing them from becoming widely recognized and achieving the same celebrity as many well known music artists. This study will examine the marketing process new music artists could follow to break into the industry without the assistance of a major record label. The research will consist of making a comparative analysis of the differences that exist between the independent and the major record labels marketing techniques.
