Abstract/Summary:
This study investigated the perceived anxiety in civil litigation. The quantitative, quasi-experiment contacted 200 individuals asking for their perceptions of anxiety in five mock case scenarios. This study looked at the perceptions of anxiety in individuals who were recently involved in an alternative dispute resolution or courtroom trial. The research further examined the difference between plaintiffs and defendants. Thus, the interaction effect cross-referenced the first effect (trial verses alternative dispute resolutions) with the second interaction effect (plaintiffs verses defendants).
