The aim of this study was to examine the efficacy to training autobiographical memory based Live Review in older adults with depressive symptomatology and without dementia. Fifty older aged 62–93 participated in the experiment. The results indicated significant differences between experimental and control group later four weeks training. Twenty-five older received training memory that showed less depressive symptoms and hopelessness, improve life satisfaction and retrieval more specifics events at posttest. The findings suggest that training in autobiographical memory for specific positive events could be a tool in psychotheraphy for reduce the tendency overgeneral memory and improve depressive symptoms in older adults. |
