Research On Medical Chinese Vocabulary

The rapid growth of the education of overseas study in China has witnessed the increasing demands of improvement of research on medical Chinese,especially the ontological study of medical Chinese vocabulary and its application in teaching.Through quantitative and qualitative research methods,this paper makes comparative analysis on medical Chinese vocabulary bewteen synchronic and diachronic ways,so as to systematically sum up characteristics of medical Chinese vocabulary.This paper also analyzes and summarizes the lexical formation mode and productive lexical mode of medical Chinese via the combination of lexical form and meaning.At the same time,from the perspective of applied research,this paper compares and analyzes the vocabulary parts of existing medical Chinese teaching materials,constructs the semantic framework hierarchy system of medical Chinese vocabulary,and drafts the medical Chinese vocabulary outline,in order to provide certain reference for medical Chinese research and even special-purpose Chinese research.The paper consists of 8 chapters.The first chapter mainly analyzes the background,research status and value of medical Chinese.We give definition to medical Chinese,and make elaboration on the current situation of medical Chinese vocabulary research,as well as the research objective,theoretical basis,research ideas and methods,and corpus source.The second chapter,through methods of qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis,combined with related theories of modern Chinese lexicology,field linguistics,specialized language research,second language teaching etc.,summarizes the typical characteristics of medical Chinese vocabulary after comparative analysis between synchronic and diachronic directions.The third chapter mainly studies the medical Chinese vocabulary from the perspective of word formation by taking the Medical Chinese Vocabulary Handbook(Chinese-uygur Comparison)as the research scope.In addition to the exhaustive description and analysis of simple words,derivative words,loanwords,abbreviations and compound words,the paper also discovers the particularity of medical Chinese vocabulary.Moreover,the paper makes a detailed statistical analysis on medical Chinese vocabulary,which lays a foundation for the establishment of medical Chinese lexical corpus.The fourth chapter mainly analyzes the lexical mode of medical Chinese vocabulary.Firstly,we define the scope of lexical research,and analyze the components of medical Chinese lexical model.Then,we study the lexical patterns of nouns and verbs in medical Chinese.Finally,we conclude the lexical model of medical Chinese lexical productiveness through the statistical analysis of medical Chinese trisyllabic words.The fifth chapter focuses on the semantic framework hierarchy of medical Chinese.On the basis of the research of frame semantics,this chapter summarizes and differentiates frame semantics.It analyzes with examples the conceptual meaning of frame domain,frame sub-domain,frame class,frame type,lexicon and frame element in the frame system,and puts forward the dividing principle of the frame semantics of Medical domain.In this chapter,the hierarchical system of medical Chinese semantic framework is constructed based on the concept meaning of medical Chinese words belonging to different levels.Chapter six mainly studies the vocabulary in medical Chinese teaching materials from the aspects of compilation concept,compilation style,compilation content,and exercise system and vocabulary selection.The seventh chapter mainly discusses the nature of medical Chinese vocabulary outline,the standards of word selection and the principles of making the outline,as well as the foundation,main modules and development steps of medical Chinese vocabulary outline.Finally,we draft the outline of medical Chinese vocabulary.Chapter eight is the summary of the whole thesis.It points out the shortcomings of the research and puts forward the ideas for future research.
