Drug dependence has become one of the major public health problems in the world. It can not only cause various physiological diseases, but also increase the risk of crime, causing great harm to society, families and individuals. In China, drug dependence is also a serious social problem. It has been found that long-term drug abuse can injure drug addicts’ physical and mental function and make them suffer from mental and psychological disorders. However, the measurement of mental health of drug addicts in China is still less, and there is a lack of specific measurement tools, especially the effect on family function and exercise needs to be further explored.Based on the results of previous studies, this study constructs a mental health model by compiling the mental health questionnaire of drug addicts in China, and tests the mental health model based on the empirical study of exercise intervention.Study 1 developed a mental health measurement tool for drug addicts. In Experiment 1,based on the multiple dimensions that affect drug dependence behavior, the mental health questionnaire for drug addicts was developed and its reliability and validity were tested.Based on the measurement tools of study 1,study 2 analyzed the mental health characteristics of drug addicts in China.Among them, study 2a mainly tested the influencing factors and characteristics of mental health of drug addicts, and study 2b investigated the relationship between family function and exercise attitude of drug addicts. In Study 3,structural equation model was constructed to further explore the influencing factors and causality of drug use behavior of drug addicts based on the measurement tools of study 1.In study 4,the subjects were randomly divided into aerobic exercise intervention group and control group, and the mental health questionnaire was conducted before and after the experiment to investigate the effect of 10 weeks of aerobic exercise on the mental health of drug addicts, and the effect of drug craving on the development trend of drug compulsive behavior was analyzed by using multi-layer linear model.Study 5 also took aerobic exercise 4 times a week to investigate the influence of emotional state and emotional attention bias of drug addicts before and after exercise after 16 weeks.Based on previous studies,in study 6,functional near infrared spectroscopy was used to investigate the effect of aerobic exercise on food reward function of drug addicts. The results showed that:(1)Study 1,after item analysis, exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis, three items in the compulsive drug use questionnaire and two items in the family function questionnaire were eliminated, and the final mental health questionnaire for drug dependent population had good reliability and validity;(2)Study 2a,it was found that the general age of drug dependent abstinence in China was 40 years old Between the age of 26-35,most of them had the characteristics of low educational level, more than 5 years of drug use, younger age of first use,and different age, occupation and educational level of psychological symptoms.Depression and anxiety were the important factors affecting drug craving;(3)Study 2b,the exercise attitude and family function of married drug addicts were better than those of married drug addicts;(4)Study 3,it was found that psychological symptoms were the main cause of drug dependence and obsessive-compulsive behavior,in which drug dependence played a mediating role.At the same time, exercise attitude could regulate the relationship between drug craving and obsessive-compulsive behavior;(5)Study 4,through exercise intervention, the psychological symptoms of drug addicts were effectively improved, drug craving and obsessive-compulsive drug use were significantly reduced;at the same time,multi-layer linear model found that exercise intervention had a regulatory effect on drug craving(acquisitive craving)and obsessive-compulsive drug use;(6)Study 5,after aerobic exercise intervention, drug addicts quit;(7)Study 6,compared with dance exercise, power cycling exercise intervention can effectively improve the activation level of prefrontal cortex in Ma dependent patients, which is conducive to restoring their sensitivity to food and other natural rewards. We concluded that:(1)the mental health scale for drug addicts had 185 items, including drug dependence, exercise attitude, mental health and family function, which had good reliability and validity;(2)drug craving played a mediating role in the influence of psychological symptoms on compulsive drug use,and exercise attitude played a mediating role in the latter half of the mediating effect(3)aerobic exercise can effectively improve the negative psychological symptoms of drug abstainers, reduce drug craving and compulsive drug use,and enhance the cognitive processing of non-drug reward(food)in the right dorsolateral prefrontal cortex by reducing the attentional bias of extreme negative emotions and drug-related stimuli,so as to improve mental health.
