Study On Tang Poetics In The Period Of The Republic Of China In Chinese Mainland

The period of the Republic of China in chinese mainland is a turning point in the history of Tang poetics, during which time, the traditional Tang poetics came to an end, and the modern Tang poetics started to form. The intensive studies on the Tang poetries by such scholars as Chen Yinque, Wen Yiduo, Yang Qigao etc. led to the forming of the discipline of Tang poetics. Abundant thoughts of Tang poetics are deeply rooted in the notes on poets and poetries, the poetry history of the Tang dynasty, selected Tang poems, and research treatises and papers of Tang poems in this period. Collecting these thoughts of Tang poetics is helpful to further deepen the research of Tang poetics. It is intended to systematically research on the Tang poetics in the period of the Republic of China in chinese mainland based on the combing of academic history from the Tang dynasty to Qing dynasty in this dissertation.The dissertation includes nine parts:Part one is an introduction, which summarizes the background of the study on Tang poetics, and the significance of the subject, defining the object of study, and analyzing the feasibility of the study, as well as the innovations, values and shortcomings of the dissertation.The first chapter relates to the theory about the social and cultural background of the Tang poetics in the period of the Republic of China in chinese mainland. Firstly, the dissertation analyzes the social environment of the Tang poetics in the period of the Republic of China in chinese mainland. Secondly, the dissertation analyzes the domestic cultural trend of the Tang poetics in the period of the Republic of China in chinese mainland. Thirdly, the dissertation analyzes the foreign cultural trend of the Tang poetics in the period of the Republic of China in chinese mainland.The second chapter systematically summarizes the methods of the Tang poetics in this period.The research methods of the Tang poetics in the period of the Republic of China in chinese mainland are divided into the methods of historical and social science, cultural studies, literature and art studies three kinds. The paper systematically summarizes the characteristics of the methods.The third chapter relates to the theory about the development process of the Tang poetics in the period of the Republic of China in chinese mainland.the dissertation divides this period into three stages, each of which has been performed statistically analysis on the achievements about Tang poetics, and on this basis, systematically summarizes the characteristics of the Tang poetics in each stage.The fourth chapter relates to the theory about the history of the Tang poetry in the period of the Republic of China in chinese mainland. First, this chapter combs the related academic viewpoints on the theory of the Tang poetry periodization in the period of the Republic of China in chinese mainland. This chapter sums up the main academic viewpoints of the studies on five great poets of the Tang dynasty including Li bai, Du fu, Li Shangyin, Li he, and Bai Juyi in the period of the Republic of China in chinese mainland.The eighth chapter relates to the main academic viewpoints of the Tang poetics in the period of the Republic of China in chinese mainland.The dissertation relates to the main academic viewpoints of famous scholars in the period of the Republic of China in chinese mainland. This chapter systematically elucidates thoughts and methods on the Tang poetics from Wang Guowei, Wen Yiduo, Chen Yin que, Huang jie, Qian Zhongshu, Hu Yunyi, and Yang Qigao respectively.In short, in the period of the Republic of China in chinese mainland, with the western learning spreading to the East, scientific academic methods were applied to the research of the Tang poetry, modern academic norms of the Tang poetry research gradually formed, the theoretical system of the Tang poetics was established, a number of experts in the field of the Tang poetics emerged, and the Tang poetics became self-conscious. The fusion of the researches from History, theory of literature and art, philology, and sociology in this period expanded the theoretical realm of the studies of the Tang Poetry. The methodologies and theories of studies of the Tang Poetry in the period of the Republic of China in chinese mainland has a far-reaching influence on the contemporary studies of the Tang Poetry.
