Study Of Chinese Image Landscape Oil Painting

As a typical characteristic of Chinese image oil painting regional，the culturalcharacteristic is the historical existence in the last century’s Chinese oil paintinghistory.Chapter one mainly discussed the background and core category of Chineseimage oil painting concept. Based on this definition，I defined this group within theYangtze River Delta region or you can say the Jiang Nan region of China. It is atypical representative of Jiang Nan landscape oil painting. In the conclusion I analysesthe dual impact of western landscape painting and Chinese traditional culture to theChinese image oil painting.The second chapter discussed the style evolvement problem of Chinese image oilpainting in the last century. Then I analyzed six representative painters and theirworks in three different periods, then do some imagery and psychologicalinterpretation on these works.On the basis of case analysis in the previous chapter, the third part of my thesisinvestigated the overall feature of Chinese image oil painting. Then I elaborated thecause and background from the region and culture angle. And I also summed up thecharacteristics of these works by discuss the achievements and controversy of Chineseimage oil painting during the period.The purpose of Chinese image oil painting is to establish their unique style andstandards. But the foundation of this establishment behavior can only exist in China’slocal context. As a typical representative of Chinese oil painting, Chinese image oilpainting has long been rooted in the delta of the Chang Jiang River. It has beenformed into a creation style of oil paintings which has its own distinct regionalcharacteristic. And its connotation of Jiang Nan culture characteristics and ethos ofChinese Culture will manifest its inner spiritual meaning.
