ObjectiveTo explore the mental health status of college students in Hong Kong and Guangzhou,To analyze the main problems of their mental health and the factors of the mental health status of college students in Hong Kong and Guangzhou,focusing on the effects of socio-political,economic and cultural,educational,and family parenting methods on the psychological health of college students in the two places.It is proposed to further improve the mental health education system and mechanism of college students in the two places,providing scientific basis for psychological intervention and health promotion of college students,and further optimize the psychology of college students of health institutions and mechanisms provide scientific references.MethodsA stratified cluster random sampling method was used to randomly select 1,038 university students from 3 comprehensive institutions in Guangzhou and Hong Kong.The Symptom Checklist 90 scale(SCL-90)and Self-rating Idea of Suicide Scale(SIOSS),APGAR and the Five-state Personality Chinese Medicine of Scale were used to conduct a questionnaire survey.Statistical analysis was used to analyze the psychological health of college students using t test,analysis of variance,or chi-square test,and logistic regression models were used to explore the relevant factors of college students' psychological health.ResultsA total of 1,050 questionnaires were distributed and 1,038 valid questionnaires were recovered.The effective recovery rate of the questionnaire was 98.86%,of which 450 were in Hong Kong(43.35%)and 588 were in Guangzhou(56.65%).(1)According to the SCL-90 scale evaluation results,there were 144 psychological abnormalities among college students in Hong Kong,accounting for32.00% of the total.There was statistically significant in the detection rate of psychological abnormalities among college students of different grades(P<0.001).There was statistically significant in the detection rate of psychological abnormalities among college students of different genders(P<0.001).There was statistically significant in the detection rate of psychological anomalies among college students in different family atmospheres(P<0.001).There was statistically significant in the detection rate of psychological abnormalities among college students with different parents' marital status(P<0.001).There was statistically significant in the detection rate of psychological abnormalities among college students with different monthly incomes(P=0.003).There was no significant difference in the detection rate of psychological abnormalities among college students with different only children(P=0.329).There were 162 psychological abnormalities among Guangzhou university students,accounting for 27.55% of the total.There was statistically significant in the detection rate of psychological abnormalities among college students of different genders(P<0.001).There was a statistically significant difference in the detection rate of psychological abnormalities among college students from different family atmospheres(P<0.001).The difference in the detection rate of psychological abnormalities among college students with different parents' marital status was statistically significant(P<0.001).The difference in the detection rate of psychological anomalies among college students with only one child was statistically significant(P=0.003).The detection rate of psychological abnormalities among college students with different monthly incomes was statistically significant(P=0.001).The difference in the detection rate of psychological abnormalities among college students of different grades wasn'tstatistically significant(P=0.139).(2)The SCL-90 factor score shows that the difference among college students in Hong Kong,the somatization factor,compulsive factor,interpersonal relationship factor,depression factor,anxiety factor,hostility factor,terror factor,paranoid factor,mental factor,other factors,were statistically significant differences in the average scores(P<0.001).There were statistically significant differences in somatization factors,compulsive factors,interpersonal relationship factors,depression factors,anxiety factors,hostility factors,terror factors,paranoid factors,mental factors,other factors and total points of college students with different parents' marital status(P<0.001).There were statistically significant differences in somatization factors,compulsive factors,interpersonal relationship factors,depression factors,anxiety factors,hostility factors,terror factors,paranoid factors,mental factors,other factors,and total points of college students in different family atmospheres(P<0.001).Among the college students in Guangzhou,no differences were found in the somatization factors,compulsive factors,interpersonal relationship factors,depression factors,anxiety factors,hostility factors,terror factors,paranoid factors,mental factors,other factors and total scores of different grades.Statistical significance(P>0.05),somatization factors,compulsive factors,interpersonal relationship factors,depression factors,anxiety factors,hostility factors,terror factors,paranoid factors,mental factors,other factors and total scores of college students with different parents' marital status.The differences in the average scores were statistically significant(P<0.001).The somatization factors,compulsive factors,interpersonal relationship factors,depression factors,anxiety factors,hostility factors,terror factors,paranoid factors,and mental factors of college students from different family atmospheres.There were statistically significant differences in other factors and average scores(P<0.001).Compared with the national norms,the scores of compulsive factors,interpersonal relationship factors,depression factors,anxiety factors,hostility factors,and terror factors in the mental status of college students in Guangzhou were mostly lower than the national norm scores,and the paranoid factor scores were mostly higher than Score with national norms.Among the psychological status scores of college students in Hong Kong,the somatization factor,paranoid factor,and mental factor were higher than those of the national norm,and the interpersonal relationship factor,anxiety factor,and terror factor were lower than those of the national norm(P<0.05).(3)According to Self-rating Idea of Suicide Scale,66 cases of suicidal ideation were found in Hong Kong college students,accounting for 15.49% of the total.Among them,the difference in the detection rate of suicidal ideation among college students of different grades was statistically significant(P=0.001).Different only children The difference in the detection rate of suicidal ideation among college students was statistically significant(P=0.001),the difference in the detection rate of suicidal ideation among college students with different marriage status was statistically significant(P<0.001),and the difference in the detection rate of suicidal ideation among college students of different genders was statistically significant.(P=0.003),the difference in the detection rate of suicidal ideation among college students with different family atmospheres was statistically significant(P<0.001).There were 72 cases of suicidal ideation in Guangzhou college students,accounting for 12.37% of the total.Among them,the difference in the detection rate of suicidal ideation among different grades of students was statistically significant(P=0.002).No significant difference was found in the detection rate of suicidal ideation among different genders(P>0.05).The difference in the detection rate of suicidal ideation among college students with different only children was statistically significant(P=0.001).(4)According to the APGAR Scale,there were 240 cases of family care disorders among college students in Hong Kong,accounting for 53.33% of the total.The difference in the detection rate of family care obstacles among college studentsof which different grades,genders,colleges,parental marriage status,family atmosphere,family monthly income were statistically significant(P<0.05).There were statistically significant differences in family care index scores among college students of different grades,gender,college,parental marriage status,family atmosphere,and family monthly income(P<0.05).There were 474 cases of family care disorder among college students in Guangzhou,accounting for 80.61% of the total.Among them,the difference in the detection rate of family care disorder among college students of different grades,colleges,only children,parental marriage status,family atmosphere,and monthly family income was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was a statistically significant difference in the family care index scores of college students of different grades,colleges,single children,parents' marriage status,and monthly family income(P<0.05).(5)According to the Five-state Personality Chinese Medicine of Scale,the Sun score was 14.02±4.93 for Guangzhou college students,10.92±4.21 for Hong Kong college students;Shaoyang score,16.77±4.61 for Guangzhou college students,13.81±4.60 for Hong Kong college students;and Yin-yang peace score,Guangzhou university students are 8.51±2.21,Hong Kong university students 7.25±2.70;Shaoyin score,Guangzhou university students 16.84±3.05,Hong Kong university students15.20±3.75;Taiyinscore,Guangzhou university students 8.78±6.86,Hong Kong university students 9.41±6.15.The t test showed that Guangzhou and Hong Kong had statistically significant differences in the scores of Sun,Shaoyang,Yinyang Heping,and Shaoyin(P<0.001).In comparison with the national normal model scores,among the Five-state Personality scores of Hong Kong university students,Shaoyang,Yinyang Heping,and Shaoyin scores are higher than the national norms Five-state Personality scores,and the sun score is lower than the national norms Five-state Personality scores.Among the Five-state Personality scores of college students in Guangzhou,the scores of Sun,Shaoyang,Yinyang Heping,and Shaoyin were higher than the national norms Five-state Personality scores;and the scores of Taiyin were lower than the national norms Five-state Personality scores.(6)Single-factor logistic results showed that grade,gender,witnessed parental violence,satisfaction with the major,had a make-up exam and/or stayed in grade,religious beliefs,online time>6 hours,love Interference from others is an influential factor affecting the psychological status of Hong Kong university students(P<0.05).Multivariate logistic results show that grade,gender,witnessed parental violence,satisfaction with the major,had a make-up test and/or stayed in the grade,have religious beliefs,spend more than 6 hours a day online,and love is interfered by others is the psychological condition of Hong Kong college students Influencing factors(P<0.05).Among them,love was interfered by others(OR=44.818,P<0.001),witnessed violent fights between parents(OR=3.366,P=0.013),had retests and/or stayed in grades(OR=2.918,P=0.005),daily Internet time> 6 hours(OR=2.783,P=0.002),grade(OR=2.611,P<0.001)are risk factors for mental health of college students.Satisfaction with this major(OR=0.237,P<0.001),gender(OR=0.294,P=0.001),and religious beliefs(OR=0.465,P=0.022)are protective factors for college students' mental health.Single-factor logistic results show that grade,gender,college,only child,parental marriage,family atmosphere,witnessed parental violence,satisfaction with the profession,student union officer,has retaken and/or stayed in grade,has religious belief,have been online for more than 6 hours,whether dating,intervening in love,self-injury or suicidal behavior such as drinking medicine or cutting the wrist are influential factors affecting the psychological status of Guangzhou university students(P<0.05).Multivariate logistic results show that grade,gender,college,have witnessed violent fighting by parents,are satisfied with the major,have taken exams and/or stayed in grades,have been online for more than 6 hours,are dating,have been interfered by others,have had Self-injury or suicidal behaviors such as drinking medicine or cutting the wrist are influential factors of psychological status of Guangzhou college students(P<0.05).Among them,there have been suicidal or suicidal behaviors such as drinking medicine or cutting the wrist(OR=43.523,P<0.001),witnessing violent fights between parents(OR=36.141,P<0.001),and being interfered in by love(OR=11.730,P<0.001),had a make-up exam and/or stayed in grade(OR=4.093,P<0.001),college(OR=1.910,P<0.001)are risk factors for mental health of college students.The Grade(OR=0.504,P=0.008),dating(OR=0.259,P<0.001),gender(OR=0.151,P<0.001),satisfaction with the major(OR=0.078,P<0.001),have been online for more than 6 hours(OR=0.073,P<0.001)is a protective factor for mental health of college students.ConclusionCollege students in Hong Kong and Guangzhou have many psychological health problems such as cognitive problems,inferiority,depression and depression,family care problems,suicidal ideation,and the detection rate is high.Cognitive disorders,inferiority complex,and depressed mood of Hong Kong university students are more serious than those of Guangzhou university students.At the same time,psychological conflicts and conflicts of Hong Kong university students are more serious than those of Guangzhou university students.If they are not well-educated,they will have more serious consequences.In terms of the SCL-90 mental health score,the mental health status of Hong Kong university students is lower than normal,but the mental health status of Guangzhou university students is higher than normal.In terms of five-state personality scoring,Hong Kong university students are more easy-going,calm,good at identifying right and wrong,strong self-vigilance,not easy to make mistakes,but have poor initiative,low resistance to attack,while Guangzhou university students have aggressiveness and high resistance to attack,alert,and high in stability,but relatively easy to believe in others.Among the psychological status scores of college students in Hong Kong,somatization,paranoia,and mental factors were higher than those of the national norm,and interpersonal relationships,anxiety,and terror factors were lower than those of the national norm.Family environment,personal experience,religious beliefs and bad habits are important factors affecting the mental health of college students,such as violent fights between parents,love,interference by others,and major events are important risk factors for college students' mental health.There are differences in the types and intensity of effect factors of mental health between Hong Kong and Guangzhou university students.Therefore,it is necessary to increase the emphasis on college students 'mental health,strengthen the training and education of college students' mental health,reasonably guide college students 'love and emotional attachment,and encourage parents to adopt caring,harmonious family atmosphere and encouraged parenting styles.To prevent and control the psychological health of college students through a comprehensive,multi-channel,personalized,and targeted approach to promote the overall healthy development of college students.
