Research On The Formation Of Taekwondo From The Perspective Of East Asian Martial Arts

Taekwondo,which is generally recognized by the public,is a kind of sports category under the concept of the Olympic Games.It forms a sports form of martial arts with high-legged combo combined with the leg and foot attack skills of spinning kick.Current research on taekwondo is rarely done outside the academic framework of the sport.It is generally believed that taekwondo can be divided into competitive taekwondo and public taekwondo,which means that in the course of its modern evolution,sports paradigm and martial arts paradigm have developed interrelated but distinct.Taekwondo,as a branch of East Asian martial arts,is an important form of the shared martial arts culture in East Asia.If we only focus on the sports paradigm of taekwondo,we will ignore the traditional succession and modern interpretation of its martial arts genes.This study attempts to analyze and explain the generation of taekwondo in the sense of culture,clarify the generation context of taekwondo martial arts,present the slightly chaotic cultural aspect of taekwondo,highlight its integrated value as a martial arts category,so as to observe the generation logic and practice path of modern derivation of martial arts.And then to correct the long-term focus on the sports paradigm of the missing of academic theory.The prototype of taekwondo is a Korean derivative of kokdai: foot play.Like Chinese martial arts,taekwondo is a modern branch of East Asian martial arts.On the one hand,the Confucian culture,hieroglyphic culture and geographical culture in East Asia have shaped the core value of taekwondo;on the other hand,through the filter of modernity,taekwondo has shaped the sports paradigm,ritual space and performing arts,and expanded the extension of martial arts tradition.The maturity of taekwondo shows that the inherent cultural structure of East Asian martial arts still has strong activity and vitality when it meets with modern sports.The modern martial arts paradigm of taekwondo is the return and innovation of the traditional martial arts of East Asia.This study separates Taekwondo from a linear historical perspective and places it in the perspective of East Asian martial arts,and explores the path,mechanism and logic of the generation of Taekwondo from different perspectives.This research through the historical roots of spectacle and name,define the taekwondo as the identity of the east branch of wushu,and in east Asia regional context for the interpretation of cultural significance,draw the outline of the east Asian tradition martial of taekwondo feeding value,as well as the evolution of east Asian martial modern tae kwon do extensibility.Taekwondo is the branch of East Asian martial arts in the Korean Peninsula.Its origins can be traced back to the ancient Korean martial art of foot play.In addition to the practical function of attack,foot play also holds a ritual entertainment function.From the point of view of technique and attack,foot play has appeared the high hitting footwork: "shoulder support" technique,which is also the kicker of taekwondo prototype.Feet play gave birth to the basic technical system of taekwondo and established the competitive mode of fighting between two people.The Chinese semantics of the name of taekwondo outline the logic of taekwondo generation,the cultural structure,and the interaction between taekwondo and various martial arts in East Asia.The word Taekwondo takes the first place,which emphasizes the noumenal value of feet.The word "fist" followed closely is a symbol of the identity of the branch of martial arts.The character "Tao" embodies the traditional philosophy of Taekwondo,a martial art that is a blend of Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism shared in East Asia.Modern taekwondo is formed in the discourse system of nationalism.Under the influence of Korean authoritarianism politics,Taekwondo,as a cultural event of Korean nationality,has become the "flag" and symbol of Korea since the beginning of its formation,thus obtaining the unique status of "national art".The power struggle between the two major Taekwondo organizations,the International Taekwondo Federation and the Korean Taekwondo Association,has directly influenced the modern path of Taekwondo,which is to bring it closer to the Western sport through the introduction of modern rules and competitions.As a branch of East Asian martial arts,taekwondo is not only shaped by the cultural structure of East Asian martial arts,but also reflects many characteristics of East Asian martial arts.East Asian societies share Confucian culture,and taekwondo is deeply embedded in Confucian culture.It has obvious sacrificial nature and obvious ritualized degree.Taekwondo belt color system with obvious characteristics of superior and inferior.Taekwondo emphasizes "beginning with ceremony and ending with ceremony".Confucian concept of propriety,justice,integrity and shame is in the primary position of taekwondo spirit.There is a pictographic culture in East Asian martial arts which is characterized by pictographic meaning taking and imitating.The pictographic essence of taekwondo is not the form spirit likeness,but the function spirit likeness,which is the materialized simulation of animal thinking.Taekwondo challenges the evolutionary direction of human beings by using legs as tools.The status,concept and value of hands and feet are re-defined according to animal laws.The three lower limb martial arts of taekwondo,tan leg and poking foot are distributed centrally in East Asia,all of which are located in the geo-axis of East Asian order: the northern continent.The mountainous environment of the Korean Peninsula has contributed to the widespread use of high-leg Taekwondo attacks.Under the cultivation of East Asian martial arts,Taekwondo eventually evolved from a scattered kicking technique into a complete martial art.The sports paradigm of taekwondo is separated from the traditional martial arts paradigm.By using body protectors to carry out full-contact confrontation,the characteristics of martial arts are purer and the style is more unique.Taekwondo forms a ritualized space of martial arts,which is both realistic and spiritual.Taekwondo hammadang is a new style of taekwondo that restores its game,art and popularity outside the Olympic system.Under the influence of entertainment culture,the super sports value of Taekwondo has shifted to the K-pop culture,and a comprehensive art form based on theme,music and dance has been generated: Taekwondo.The history of the formation of taekwondo shows that the East Asian martial arts system has many characteristics that are significantly different from the western sports.The cultural structure of the system of East Asian martial arts is composed of four parts: "technique","art","virtue" and "way".Among them,"technology" is the form,"art" is the extension,"virtue" is the core,"Tao" runs through it.The generation of taekwondo is constantly adjusted with the change of time and space,but the cultural structure of its four parts remains relatively stable.In view of the above "dao","technology","art","DE" structure of the four,the east Asian martial have enrich the cultural connotation,the mutual infiltration between branch in wushu,symbiosis,formed a variety of forms,content and stable confused unified system of grand,no less,shoulder,compared with western sports.This study believes that the generation of Taekwondo can not only observe the internal structure of East Asian martial arts system,but also show the unique modern evolution path of East Asian martial arts.The modernity of East Asian martial arts is not simply close to western sports,and its inherent skills,skills,morality and Tao have not disappeared,but have been rewritten.Taekwondo transforms itself through the simplicity of sports without abandoning the complexity of "skills".It not only accepted the utilitarian nature of sports,but also complied with the altruistic "virtue" constraint;It not only chooses the rational thinking of sports,but also retains the irrationality of "Tao".Its dissemination not only makes use of the instrumental nature of sports,but also expands the aesthetic nature of "art".It can be seen that although the organizational structure,order norms and values of East Asian martial arts have undergone profound changes,while some of its contents have been filtered by sports,its internal structure has not undergone fundamental changes.Taekwondo branch is still in the process of evolution,its martial paradigm is not with the expansion of physical education paradigm and weakened,but has a trend of the growth,expansion,which fully shows the east Asian martial system internal activity and vitality,in other words,the formation of taekwondo proves that the culture of the east Asian martial system kernel can rewrite by modernity,for the value of modern sport is addendum.
