Yin and Yangism is the simple dialectical materialist philosophy created by the ancient Chinese sages,which play a fundamental role in the conceptual knowledge organization and theoretical system of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM).Yin Yang thinking of Chinese medicine is a high-level cognitive activity adopted by the brain of the Chinese medicine theoretical method according to the basic concept of yin and yang doctrine and related theoretical knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine.Compared with the traditional theoretical and speculative textual analysis,the experimental methods in cognitive psychology,such as the event-related potential(ERP)and functional magnetic resonance imaging technology(fMRI),can intuitively present the space-time characteristics of neural activity of brain thinking,then reveal the specificity of Yin and Yang thinking of Chinese medicine from the level of brain nerve activity.In this research,ERP and fMRI technology were conducted to a systematic study of static yin and yang analogical reasoning and dynamic yin and yang conversion estimate.Yin and yang analogical reasoning is characterized by an analogy item(A:B::C:D).Firstly,the effects of the structural elements of yin and yang class inference such as the original domain(A:B),the target domain(C:D),and the yin and yang matching(A-C,B-D)on the yin and yang class reasoning process were explored.Secondly,the yin and yang analogical mapping cognitive process of the concrete objects and abstract objects in the field of traditional Chinese medicine were explored.Thirdly,the semantic priming paradigm was used to focus on examining the semantic transformation process of yin and yang in the dynamic yin and yang conversion thinking.It was also explored the process of yin and yang conversion under the change of vertical space.1.The ERP and fMRI experimental results of how the structural elements of yin and yang class inference affect the yin and yang analogical reasoning:The results of the behavior indicate that when the original domain provides a strong yin and yang relationship,it is more conducive to the yin and yang-type ratio reasoning(p=.013).Compared with the"Yin-Yang" structure,the "Yang-Yin" structure has a more significant behavioral advantage(P<.001)compared to the "Yin-Yang" structure,showing a spatial semantic combination effect.The results of ERP show that the matching of the yin and yang ratio reasoning,the target domain,and the yin and yang structure of the yin and yang,respectively affect the yin and yang ratio reasoning process of of the extensive area of the right hemisphere.This means that this non-medical specific concept requires continuous activation of the right hemisphere when constructing an opposite relationship to help it get a wider range of scenarios.The activation of the left hemisphere of medical abstract concepts is consistent with the results of the left hemisphere activation of the abstract concepts in previous studies.This shows that the pharmaceutical specific concept and abstract concept of the yin and yang in the yin and yang ratio of the brain are similar in the yin-yang relationship,and the different processing models of the yin and yang relationship in the yin and yang ratio of the yin and yang ratio have produced different processing modes.3.The ERP and fMRI experimental results of the space of yin and yang thinking of traditional Chinese medicine,reveal the different nature of yin and yang thinking of traditional Chinese medicine from the perspective of cognitive neuroscience,and provide theory and empirical evidence for the high-level development of yin and yang thinking of traditional Chinese medicine medicine.support.
